Aaron Civale gets the start for Cleveland having solid success in minimal time on the mound this season. He sports a 2.04 ERA in 17.2 innings pitched not allowing a first inning run in all three of his starts this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justin Verlander has let us down in the past when taking a NRFI in his starts but we\u2019re going back to the well tonight as he and the Mets try to avoid the sweep in Atlanta tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Braves send early NL Cy Young candidate Spencer Strider to the mound not allowing a first inning run in five of his last six starts. He\u2019s tied for the MLB lead in strikeouts and looking to add to that number tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mets still continue to be the worst first inning scoring team in the MLB with the Braves coming in 2nd best in the MLB in first inning scoring heading in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
