With AC Ajaccio already relegated down to Ligue 2 and coming off back-to-back 5-0 blowout losses against PSG and Rennes respectively across recent games, 2nd placed Lens look in prime position to deliver yet another defeat onto the hapless Bears on Saturday.<\/p>\n

That said, this line does appear a little over-inflated in this one, understandable given the heavy nature of their last two defeats, but one we\u2019ll nonetheless look to take advantage of this weekend.<\/p>\n

Lens, bar an absolutely epic collapse over their final two remaining games of the season, have already locked in Champions League football for next season sitting comfortably in 2nd spot.<\/p>\n

Marseille are five points adrift of Lens with a far inferior goal difference to the \u2018The Blood and Gold\u2019 as well, so a single point over their last two matchdays should be enough to secure European top flight football for next season.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s something they\u2019re heavily favored to do this weekend given they\u2019re being priced up as massive -723 favorites for this game at time of writing, yet it\u2019s a game in which they have very little need to run up the scoreboard in.<\/p>\n

AC Ajaccio may have already mailed it in for this season given they\u2019re officially down, but this is a huge line on Saturday against a relatively unmotivated team in RC Lens, so we\u2019re happy to take a piece of the road team here to stay within the number this weekend.<\/p>\n

Prediction: AC Ajaccio +2.25 (-125)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Toulouse vs Auxerre | Saturday May 27 | 3:00pm ET<\/h2>\n

Toulouse +115 | Auxerre +225 | Draw +265<\/strong><\/p>\n

After a run of five straight games without a win in league action, 16th placed Auxerre find themselves dangerously close to slipping into the relegation spots once again with just one point currently separating them from the drop zone with two matchdays left to play.<\/p>\n

The Burgundian club went through something of a purple patch between the start of February to the end of April, owning the fewest losses in the entire league over that timespan alongside heavyweights such as Lille, Lyon, and Marseille.<\/p>\n

However, since then Auxerre haven\u2019t won a single game in league action and face a Toulouse side this weekend who rank top half in the league in goals scored at home this season.<\/p>\n

The good news for Auxerre however is that their main rivals to avoid relegation this season, Nantes, face an even tougher trip to top five Lille this weekend, plus the fact Toulouse haven\u2019t won a single game at home in Ligue 1 since mid-February also.<\/p>\n

That said, Toulouse haven\u2019t lost to Auxerre in this venue in over 12 years, and given the form Auxerre currently find themselves in, that doesn\u2019t appear likely to change anytime soon either.<\/p>\n

Take Toulouse to get the victory at home this weekend against Auxerre over in French Ligue 1.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Toulouse -0.25 (-110)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Montpellier vs Nice | Saturday May 27 | 3:00pm ET<\/h2>\n

Montpellier +155 | Nice +175 | Draw +245

Not a battle that\u2019s going to necessarily get the juices flowing this weekend given where both teams find themselves in the table, but an interesting clash nonetheless as Montpellier play their final game of the season inside the Stade de la Mosson against a team that annihilated them 6-1 back in January in the reverse fixture.<\/p>\n

Since then however, it\u2019s been Montpellier who have enjoyed the better of proceedings in the league, notching eight wins from their 16 games since February 1st to rank as the joint-6th best team across that timeframe in the league.<\/p>\n

At home, it\u2019s been even better for Montpellier also, losing just one of their last five games in this venue, that coming in a shock loss against the aforementioned Toulouse, but there\u2019s no question \u2018La Paillade\u2019 have looked strong over 2023 so far and would love nothing better than to avenge that 6-1 defeat in their final home game of the season in front of their vociferous home support.<\/p>\n

However, Nice certainly shouldn\u2019t be underestimated in this one as they\u2019ve actually been stronger away from home this season than they have been on the south coast, generating 27 points on the road this season and ranking joint 5th in total points gained away from home right alongside Lyon.<\/p>\n

While Montpellier certainly have the motivational and momentum factors in their favor ahead of this clash, getting a team with the 5th best road record in the entire league, plus one who sits a full five points clear of their hosts in the table as well, certainly appears like value.<\/p>\n

With catching a plus quarter goal headstart also, we\u2019re happy to side with the road team in this one to avoid defeat on Saturday.<\/p>\n
