Mets vs Cubs Expert Betting Advice<\/h2>\n

This will be the first series between these teams during the 2023 campaign, they will play a three-game set between August 7th-9th in New York.<\/p>\n

The Cubs won the 2022 regular season series 4-3, sweeping three home games in September but losing three of four games at Citi Field in July. Chicago is kicking off a lengthy nine game homestand while New York is beginning off a six-game road trip.<\/p>\n

The Mets are on a five-game winning streak while the Cubs have lost 7 of their last 8 games. Outside of being on the road, the Mets have a lot of advantages in this series, and they are in far better form.<\/p>\n

Look at New York to win the series <\/strong>assuming we can get a reasonable price. Pete Alonso has hit a home run in four of his last five games<\/strong> and he is 3-11 with a home run against Game 1 starter Drew Smyly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Consider his over on total bases for that game and sprinkle his home run prop<\/strong>. Game 3 features two right-handed starting pitchers with ERAs north of 8.00.<\/p>\n

Both teams hit righties better than lefties and neither has a particularly strong bullpen. The over in Game 3 is my strongest play for this three-game series<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
