NRFI Prediction 1: Nationals vs Marlins (-113)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NRFI darling Miami Marlins host the Washington Nationals tonight in which Josiah Gray will take on Jesus Luzardo. Gray has seen a spectacular turnaround from a disastrous 2022 season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the road this season he sports a 2.43 ERA and hasn\u2019t allowed a first inning run in seven straight starts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nationals as a team haven\u2019t allowed a first inning run in five straight games and should have no problem making it six tonight. Luzardo has been great in his own way not allowing a run in the first in seven of his eight season starts so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Marlins overall score the 4th least runs in the first inning of any MLB team and haven\u2019t allowed opponents to score in the first in eight straight. Play on a Nationals vs Marlins NRFI at -113<\/strong> with first pitch slated for 6:40pm ET.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NRFI Prediction 2: Rays vs Mets (-115)<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The best and the worst offenses in the first inning go at it as the Mets welcome in the Rays to Citi Field for a 3-game series starting tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tampa Bay is actually the best team when it comes to scoring in the first inning but they get Justin Verlander tonight looking to build on his most recent start against the Reds going seven innings and allowing one run. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obviously the Rays 1-3 hitters are better than the Reds, but with Verlander\u2019s talent it shouldn\u2019t be an issue for him to shut them down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s not much more we can say about the Mets offense in general other than it\u2019s atrocious for a majority of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jalen Beeks starts for Tampa Bay as this looks to be a bullpen game for them with the Mets not scoring in the first inning in seven straight games. Play on a Rays vs Mets NRFI tonight at -115<\/strong> with a 7:10pm ET first pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
