Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For May 8<\/h2>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Yasmani Grandal (+750)<\/h2>\n

AL Central foes Royals and White Sox go at it for the first time this season tonight where yesterday Chicago put up a whopping 17 runs against Cincinnati.<\/p>\n

I expect them to keep their hot bats going facing off against Zach Greinke. White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal has tons of experience facing Greinke in his career going 16-55 with two home runs.<\/p>\n

Grandal is a switch hitter with much more success hitting left-handed this season. He hits .304 while batting left-handed with two of his three home runs and only hitting .174 while hitting right handed with one home run.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s also had much more success hitting on the road this season batting .321 with two home runs compared to only hitting .217 at home.<\/p>\n

You can get Grandal at a valuable +750 with other White Sox hitters who could hit a home run include Luis Robert +600<\/strong> and Gavin Sheets (+680)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Dansby Swanson (+560)<\/span><\/h2>\n

Cardinals starting pitcher tonight Miles Mikolas has already given up five home runs on the road this season in only 16.2 innings pitched.<\/p>\n

One Cubs hitter who could take advantage of this matchup is shortstop Dansby Swanson who hasn\u2019t been having the best first year in a Cubs uniform he had hoped for.<\/p>\n

He only has nine RBIs and two home runs as the Cubs #2 hitter but does have mild success against Mikolas with three hits in 13 at-bats including a home run. Last year Swanson hit a home run against right-handed pitching once every 25 at-bats but has yet to hit one this year in 97 at-bats!<\/p>\n

This streak has to come to an end soon so why not tonight against a pitcher like Mikolas who is prone to give up a home run or two.<\/p>\n

Another metric that supports this is Mikolas allowed two home runs in 11.2 innings pitched in his two starts at Wrigley Field last season. Get Swanson to hit a home run at +560 with a couple other Cubs hitters who could hit one include Patrick Wisdom (+440)<\/strong> and Ian Happ (+500)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
