Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For May 5<\/h2>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Matt Chapman (+390)<\/h2>\n

We struck out earlier this week when we selected Matt Chapman to hit a home run but we\u2019re going back to the well with him tonight as the Blue Jays make the short trip from Boston to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates.<\/p>\n

The Pirates send veteran lefty Rich Hill to the mound in which Chapman has hit .536 against lefties this season!<\/p>\n

He\u2019s hit two of his five home runs in 28 at-bats against lefties with the other three coming in 86 at-bats against righties.<\/p>\n

For some reason Chapman has had more success with power on the road this season hitting four home runs in 77 at-bats away from the Rogers Centre compared to just one in 37 at-bats in Toronto.<\/p>\n

Hill has allowed four home runs in 15 innings pitched at PNC Park and allows one home run every 15 at-bats to right handed hitters.<\/p>\n

Chapman has now gone 14-straight games without a home run but that streak should come to an end very soon. Get Chapman to hit a home run at +390 with other Blue Jays who could hit a home run tonight include Bo Bichette (+540)<\/strong> and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+340)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Tommy Edman (+680)<\/span><\/h2>\n

We\u2019re rolling with another hitter who has been scorching left-handed pitching this season in Tommy Edman. The Cardinals get the Tigers at Busch Stadium tonight with Detroit sending lefty Matthew Boyd to the mound tonight.<\/p>\n

Edman (a Pontiac, MI native) will already have added motivation to make a statement against his hometown team but if you add the fact he hits .462 against lefties this season he makes an even more enticing option to hit a home run tonight.<\/p>\n

Three of his five home runs have come off lefties in only 26 at-bats compared to his other two home runs coming in 72 at-bats against right-handed pitching.<\/p>\n

Boyd allows one home run to righties once every 20 at-bats and with Edman hitting a home run yesterday, why not make it back-to-back games?<\/p>\n

Take Edman to hit a home run tonight at a valuable +680 with other options to consider are Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt<\/strong> who are both listed at +350<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
