The Timberwolves beat the Mavs 111-105 on Sunday at home in the first of two consecutive meetings. Minnesota currently sits at 8th place in the Western Conference, while Dallas is right behind them at 9th place.<\/p>\n With the loss to Minnesota on Sunday, Dallas has lost two straight and six of their last 9 games. The Mavs were without superstar Luka Doncic for the fourth straight game and he will be out once again on Tuesday. Reggie Bullock, Willie Cauley-Stein and Josh Green will also be out and Kristaps Porzingis and Frank Ntilikina both remain questionable.<\/p>\n Without these players Tim Hardaway led the way against the Timberwolves with 28 points, but now Dallas has ruled him out of Tuesday night’s game as well. The Mavs have played solid defense as they only allow 104.8 points a game, good for 5th in the NBA. Offensively it’s been a different story, the Mavs only score 104.4 points a game which ranks them 26th. It will be an uphill battle to improve those numbers without their leading scorer and assist man in Doncic.<\/p>\n The Minnesota Timberwolves will also be short-handed with their #2 scorer Anthony Edwards dealing with a bout with Covid. The Wolves leading scorer is Karl-Anthony Towns with 24.4 points per game. The Timberwolves need to improve on defense where they give up 108.6 points a game which puts them at 19th in the league. They have been better on offense where they sit at 12th with 108.8 points per game.<\/p>\n Both teams are missing several players including big names like Luka Doncic and Anthony Edwards. The Mavericks are one point home favorites with a total of 214. Both teams are right around .500 straight up and against the spread. The Wolves are also .500 for over\/under ATS while the Mavs are the 2nd most under team in the league with 9-18-2 ATS record.<\/p>\n Both teams rosters are depleted due to injuries and Covid, look for both teams to play at slower pace to conserve energy. These teams went over this number on Sunday, but the Mavs previous 8 games all went under.
