The Heat jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the series after beating the Knicks 108-101 on Sunday night.<\/p>\n<p>The Knicks prevailed in three of four games against Miami during the regular season but after dropping the opener, they face a must win game before going on the road for back-to-back games. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST\/4:30 PST from Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n<div>\n<h3>Knicks Need To Bounce Back<\/h3>\n<p>After dominating on both the road and at home in the first round against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New York Knicks lost at home against the Miami Heat on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>RJ Barrett was the games leading scorer with 26 points while Jalen Brunson added 25 points and 7 assists. Mitchell Robinson led the way in rebounding with 14 boards.<\/p>\n<p>There are few venues that provide quite as much of a homecourt advantage as Madison Square Garden, especially in the post-season and the Knicks went 25-19 at home this season.<\/p>\n<p>Injuries are going to be a major concern once again with six players on the injury report and four ruled out. We will need to monitor the status of Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle as both are questionable with ankle injuries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Heating Up<\/h3>\n<p>The Miami Heat dominated the Milwaukee Bucks in their first round, winning the series in only five games. However they could be hard pressed to make it two in a row after going 20-25 record in road games.<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy Butler led his team in scoring and rebounding with an impressive 25 point, 11 rebound performance before suffering an ankle injury. Like the Knicks, injuries will be a major concern as Victor Oladipo is out for the rest of the season and Tyler Herro is out for at least the remainder of this series.<\/p>\n<p>However the biggest focus will be Jimmy Butlers ankle after going down late in Game 1. The Heat already only ranked 30th in scoring and 26th in field goal percentage, while running out of scoring options.<\/p>\n<p>They will need to rely on the NBAs 2nd ranked scoring defense heavily in Game 2, especially if Butler is unable to take the court.<\/p>\n<h2>New York Knicks vs Miami Heat Best Bet<\/h2>\n<p>The New York Knicks enter this contest as 6.5 point home favorites with a total set at 206.5. With the uncertainty surrounding multiple key players on both sides, I&#8217;m looking total in this one.<\/p>\n<p>I just can&#8217;t see each quarter reaching 50 points like they did in Game 1 and they still fell short of 210 combined points. Both teams have been bottom 10 in pace since the All-Star break and these teams combine for an 11-1 record to the under in the post-season.<\/p>\n<p>The Knicks will be content relying on their defense at home and Miami could wind up pulling their starters late if they are down.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams rely on defense and that will continue, especially with both sides potentially missing key scorers. The Heat jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the series after beating the Knicks 108-101 on Sunday night.<\/p>\n<p>The Knicks prevailed in three of four games against Miami during the regular season but after dropping the opener, they face a must win game before going on the road for back-to-back games. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST\/4:30 PST from Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n<div>\n<h3>Knicks Need To Bounce Back<\/h3>\n<p>After dominating on both the road and at home in the first round against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New York Knicks lost at home against the Miami Heat on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>RJ Barrett was the games leading scorer with 26 points while Jalen Brunson added 25 points and 7 assists. Mitchell Robinson led the way in rebounding with 14 boards.<\/p>\n<p>There are few venues that provide quite as much of a homecourt advantage as Madison Square Garden, especially in the post-season and the Knicks went 25-19 at home this season.<\/p>\n<p>Injuries are going to be a major concern once again with six players on the injury report and four ruled out. We will need to monitor the status of Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle as both are questionable with ankle injuries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Heating Up<\/h3>\n<p>The Miami Heat dominated the Milwaukee Bucks in their first round, winning the series in only five games. However they could be hard pressed to make it two in a row after going 20-25 record in road games.<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy Butler led his team in scoring and rebounding with an impressive 25 point, 11 rebound performance before suffering an ankle injury. Like the Knicks, injuries will be a major concern as Victor Oladipo is out for the rest of the season and Tyler Herro is out for at least the remainder of this series.<\/p>\n<p>However the biggest focus will be Jimmy Butlers ankle after going down late in Game 1. The Heat already only ranked 30th in scoring and 26th in field goal percentage, while running out of scoring options.<\/p>\n<p>They will need to rely on the NBAs 2nd ranked scoring defense heavily in Game 2, especially if Butler is unable to take the court.<\/p>\n<h2>New York Knicks vs Miami Heat Best Bet<\/h2>\n<p>The New York Knicks enter this contest as 6.5 point home favorites with a total set at 206.5. With the uncertainty surrounding multiple key players on both sides, I'm looking total in this one.<\/p>\n<p>I just can't see each quarter reaching 50 points like they did in Game 1 and they still fell short of 210 combined points. Both teams have been bottom 10 in pace since the All-Star break and these teams combine for an 11-1 record to the under in the post-season.<\/p>\n<p>The Knicks will be content relying on their defense at home and Miami could wind up pulling their starters late if they are down.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams rely on defense and that will continue, especially with both sides potentially missing key scorers.
