The Denver Nuggets travel to Minnesota to face the Timberwolves in Game 3 of their first round playoff series. The Nuggets are up 2-0 in the series after winning both of their home games. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 PM EST\/6:30 PST from the Target Center in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n

Nuggets Look To Continue Series Dominance<\/h3>\n

In Game 1, the Denver Nuggets blew out the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-80 and in Game 2 they prevailed over Minnesota once again 122-113.<\/p>\n

They were down two points entering the 4th quarter of Game 2 and rallied to get the victory. Jamal Murray led his team in scoring with 40 points with 5 assists.<\/p>\n

Nikola Jokic fell a rebound and assist of a triple-double with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists while Aaron Gordon recorded a 12 point, 10 rebound double-double.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets ranked 12th in scoring during the regular season with 115.8 points a game while they rank 8th in defensive scoring with 112.5 points allowed per game. The Joker is as probable due to a nagging wrist but I can’t imagine him not playing tonight.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Timberwolves Return Home<\/h3>\n

After earning the 8th seed by winning their play-in game, the Minnesota Timberwolves find themselves down 0-2 after losing their first two games against the Denver Nuggets.<\/p>\n

Minnesota was blown out in Game 1 but showed some heart in Game 2 until they fell apart defensively in the 4th quarter. Anthony Edwards led all scorers with 41 points on 14-23 from the field.<\/p>\n

Karl Anthony-Towns added a 10 point, 12 rebound double-double while Rudy Gobert added 19 points and 8 rebounds.<\/p>\n

The Timberwolves ranked 13th in scoring during the regular season with 115.8 points a game while ranking 18th in defensive scoring with 115.8 points allowed per game. Rudy Gobert (back) and Jaylen Nowell (knee) are both listed as questionable for this contest.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets Game 3\u00a0Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Denver Nuggets enter this contest as 2.5 point road favorites with a total set at 223. Minnesota was shooting for a split in Denver before returning home but find themselves down 2-0 with their backs against the wall.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets did show that they can compete after getting blown out by 29 points in Game 1. Anthony Edwards had a monster 41 point game but his running mate Karl Anthony-Towns is averaging only 10.5 points a game on 30% from the field.<\/p>\n

Unless KAT picks things up, the Timberwolves may be looking at getting swept. The Timberwolves are being held to an average of only 96.5 points and the Nuggets aren’t even a great defensive team.<\/p>\n
