A close game is expected on Saturday over in French Ligue 1 in a battle of the top four as both Monaco and Lens look to assault Marseille\u2019s fragile position in 2nd for the final automatic spot in the Champions League this season.<\/p>\n

Lens have been the hottest team in the league across recent games, banking 2.40 PPG across their last five starts despite suffering a 3-1 loss against PSG last weekend.<\/p>\n

However, Monaco have been one of French Ligue 1\u2019s best road teams this year, losing just once away from home all season, and that could well be the difference maker here as well as we look to take Monaco getting a plus quarter goal headstart on Saturday against Lens.<\/p>\n

Brest have really impressed across recent starts, especially since Eric Roy took over back in January after a rough few opening weeks, as they\u2019ve now put themselves just clear of the relegation zone with a current four game unbeaten run in the league.<\/p>\n

AC Ajaccio meanwhile have sunk ever further down the table as they suffered their 15th defeat in 17 games last weekend with a 3-1 road loss away to Strasbourg.<\/p>\n

Despite this being in AC Ajaccio\u2019s home stadium of Stade Francois Coty, and being a must-win game for the Bears, we\u2019re taking the better team Brest in this one to put even more daylight between themselves and the relegation zone with another solid result here on Sunday.<\/p>\n

One of the most highly anticipated matchups of the weekend sees 2nd placed Marseille travel north to French giants Lyon as the home side look to rally back into the European spots after a poor overall start to their campaign.<\/p>\n

Lyon won just four of their opening eleven league games of the season to start the year, but have heated up considerably since then, ranking as French Ligue 1\u2019s 2nd best team across the last month.<\/p>\n

They face a Marseille side here on Sunday that while currently sitting five places above them in the table, haven\u2019t impressed across recent games, winning just two of their last five games overall, and Lyon could well be facing them at just the right time in this one.<\/p>\n
