However, Real Madrid are going to cause them a lot of problems.<\/p>\n Real Madrid Making Moves<\/h3>\nReal Madrid is in a similar position as they are 13 points back of Barcelona in La Liga and relatively safe in the Top-4, 12 points ahead of Villarreal in the 5<\/span>th<\/span> position in the table.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\nThey too were in a look ahead spot and lost at home to Villarreal which was only their 2<\/span>nd<\/span> loss at the Bernabeu all season, the other coming against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey.<\/span><\/p>\nIn La Liga play, Madrid have scored 34 goals on a nearly identical 34.5 xG this season while allowing just 12 goals on 11.5 xGA.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In the Champions League group stage, they won all three matches, scoring nine while conceding two, then of course finished off Liverpool 1-0 in the last round after racing out to a 5-2 lead at Anfield.<\/span><\/p>\nChelsea Must Improve on Road<\/h3>\nWe know the struggles that Liverpool has had this season, but Chelsea has certainly had their struggles as well and sit behind Liverpool in the EPL table. Away from Stamford Bridge, they have really struggled scoring just 13 goals in 15 matches.<\/p>\n You can argue perhaps they should have scored a few more as they have generated 17.6 xG, but they are still in the negative differential as they have allowed 19 goals on 21.0 xGA.<\/p>\n Real Madrid vs Chelsea Expert Prediction<\/h2>\nWhen it comes to the Champions League and big-time matches, the biggest Clubs in the world need big-time finishers.<\/p>\n Chelsea has clearly struggled to find that guy over the last several seasons as they have tried unsuccessfully to find one starting with Timo Werner to Kai Havertz to Raheem Sterling and even Joao Felix.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Real Madrid has one of the best finishers in Champions League history and I believe he will once again be the difference maker in this Leg 1 clash.<\/p>\n Prediction: Real Madrid -140<\/strong><\/p>\n |
