\n| Game Time:<\/td>\n | 9:00am ET \/ 6:00am PT<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\nLeeds United vs Crystal Palace Betting Analysis<\/h2>\nBoth teams secured much-needed wins last time out to stave off relegation for another week as returning manager Roy Hodgson got his team to a 2-1 win in his first game back in charge of Crystal Palace as they overcame a struggling Leicester side last weekend.<\/p>\n Meanwhile Leeds came from behind to grab a similar 2-1 victory against Nottingham Forest in midweek also.<\/p>\n That win has seen Leeds United lose just one of their last six games at home as Javi Gracia has continued to turn Elland Road into something of a fortress across recent starts.<\/p>\n Crystal Palace meanwhile have lost five of their last six games away from home, including a current seven-game losing streak in head-to-head meetings at Elland Road against Leeds as well.<\/p>\n New Focus On Attack For Palace<\/h3>\nIt\u2019s been a positive start for Roy Hodgson\u2019s return to the Crystal Palace dugout as they put up an explosive 31 goal attempts last weekend against Leicester, including 14 blocked shots and an xG rating of 2.47, a far cry from former manager Patrick Viera's tactics.<\/p>\n Under Viera, Palace hit the 20 attempts on goal mark in a single game just once in his 65 English Premier League games in charge of the club.<\/p>\n Leeds Picking Their Battles<\/h3>\nNot only has manager Javi Gracia targeted Leeds\u2019 home stadium of Elland Road as a venue that will be pivotal to their chances of survival in the Premier League this season, he\u2019s also targeting individual matchups as well as he looks to give his side every possible advantage as the season draws to a close.<\/p>\n That was especially noticeable in last weekend\u2019s loss against Arsenal as a number of Leeds players didn't start in that game, but who then subsequently came back for their important clash against Nottingham Forest in midweek.<\/p>\n Like that game, Gracia will no doubt see this Sunday\u2019s game against Crystal Palace as one of those winnable fixtures for his club.<\/p>\n Leeds United vs Crystal Palace Expert Prediction<\/h2>\nWhile the stats would certainly give us some pause for concern about backing Leeds as near even money favorites in games given their struggles this season, Gracia has put extra emphasis on the games he believes his side can win, and with tough games against Liverpool and Manchester City on the horizon for Leeds, those targeted matchups become ever more important for Leeds as a result.<\/p>\n Crystal Palace have won just twice away from home all season, and like Leeds, may look towards their home form to grant them the best chance of survival this season.<\/p>\n With a trip to bottom-of-the-table Southampton on deck for Crystal Palace next weekend, and then hosting Everton in their subsequent game, a loss here wouldn\u2019t hurt Palace as much as Leeds in this one.<\/p>\n We expect maximum focus to be placed on this game by Leeds ahead of Liverpool\u2019s arrival next Monday night, and that greater focus should be enough to propel Leeds to get the win in this one.<\/p>\n Take Leeds to win outright at home on Sunday against Crystal Palace over in the EPL.<\/p>\n Prediction: Leeds (+110)<\/strong><\/p>\nFor more free soccer picks, check out WagerTalk's free picks page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n |
