Wolves vs Chelsea Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

Chelsea continues to play solid \u201cPotter-ball\u201d even after the ex-manager\u2019s sacking, which of course is referencing the fact that they create a ton of chances and xG but fail to convert any of that into actual goals and thus, actual results and points in the table.<\/p>\n

Their 0-0 draw vs Liverpool on Tuesday is evidence of that at they put up over 2.0 xG while holding Liverpool to a measly 0.2. But, yet again, they didn\u2019t win.<\/p>\n

In breaking news, Chelsea is appointing Frank Lampard as manager for the remainder of the season. While its always worth a look on a team in the \u201cnew manager bounce\u201d situation, this is Lampard\u2019s 2nd go-around, and the first time didn\u2019t go so well, so I want absolutely no parts of the Blues in this spot.<\/p>\n

The rest of the EPL season means nothing to them. They are 14 points behind United for a Top-4 spot and they are 12 points clear of a relegation side. They can literally just put it on auto pilot the rest of the way.<\/p>\n

Wolves Need Wins<\/h3>\n

Of course, I\u2019m only talking about the EPL as their season now entirely rests with their results in the Champions League as they have made the quarterfinals but have a brutal matchup vs Real Madrid with Leg 1 coming on Tuesday, just four days after this match. This is as big of a lookahead spot as you will find.<\/p>\n

Wolves on the other hand need every point they can get. They sit on 28 points which is just one point clear of Bournemouth sitting 18th in the table and currently in the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

Crazily, there are seven teams that sit within three points of each other, all fighting against relegation, and this will likely be one of the more exciting races we have seen at the bottom of the table in many years, but I digress.<\/p>\n

Wolves vs Chelsea Situational Play<\/h3>\n

Wolves are not a team I\u2019m necessarily excited to back, but I fully believe it\u2019s the right play here and at home, where they have played some of the better teams pretty tough.<\/p>\n

They have wins over Tottenham and Liverpool in their last four home matches plus a couple tight losses to Man United 0-1 and Arsenal 0-2.<\/p>\n

Normally, I would look into xG numbers and break down long-term results vs expected goals to try and gauge some expectations on what the teams might do in the future both in this upcoming back and long term the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

In this case, Chelsea would clearly be the side to take. But I\u2019m not going to do that. This play, and this match, is all situational for me.<\/p>\n

Wolves vs Chelsea Expert Prediction<\/h2>\n

Lastly, in a very odd trend, over their last ten home games in all competitions, which includes seven EPL matches and three Cup games, Wolves have alternated wins and losses in each game, and they are coming off a loss vs Leeds in their last match.<\/p>\n

So, if that pattern holds true\u2026 sprinkle on the moneyline!<\/p>\n
