Croatia vs Wales Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

Recent World Cup semi-finalists Croatia will look to get their Euro 2024 qualification started off on the right foot on Saturday with an opening game clash against Wales in Split this weekend.<\/p>\n

Croatia surprised many with their deep run in last year\u2019s World Cup for the second straight time as despite their obvious talent, many observers felt their best days were behind them in terms of age and mobility.<\/p>\n

Wales meanwhile will be looking to get back to the glory days of 2016, when they reached the semi-finals of this European competition only to come unstuck against eventual winners Portugal.<\/p>\n

Since 2010, the two sides have met three times in Croatia, with the Croatians winning all three meetings and shutting out the Welsh in two of those three games as well.<\/p>\n

New Era For The Dragons<\/h3>\n

With the retirement of national icon Gareth Bale following last year\u2019s World Cup group stage exit, manager Robert Page has since drafted in four new uncapped players into the lineup as he looks to bring a fresh approach to the national squad ahead of this year’s campaign.<\/p>\n

However, replacing Bale is nigh on impossible as many consider him to be one of, if not, the greatest Welsh player of all time, appearing 111 times for his country and scoring 41 goals in the process, the highest number out of any Welsh player in history.<\/p>\n

Pressure Off Croatia Ahead Of Qualifying Run<\/h3>\n

Croatia can play with a little pressure off their shoulders ahead of this year’s qualification campaign as with them securing a playoff berth at the recent Nations League tournament, that now gets them an automatic playoff spot for a Euro 2024 place also.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s unlikely Croatia will even need any extra help to qualify as they\u2019ve been incredibly strong at home in this competition, failing to lose a single European qualification game at home in their history.<\/p>\n

Croatia vs Wales\u00a0 Expert Prediction<\/h2>\n

Croatia have been rock-solid at the back, not only in shutting out Wales across two of their last three meetings here, but also in general, conceding one or fewer goals in seven of their last nine home games overall.<\/p>\n

Wales are winless in eight straight games heading into Saturday\u2019s matchup, and have failed to score a single goal in three of their last four games also so, we envision a low-scoring routine Croatian victory in this one at home on Saturday.<\/p>\n
