Boston Celtics vs Indiana Pacers Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Indiana Pacers visit the TD Garden for an Eastern Conference clash with the Boston Celtics on Friday night. The Celtics finished their west coast swing 4-2 after beating the Sacramento Kings 132-109 on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

The Pacers snapped a two game losing streak with a 118-114 victory on the road against the Toronto Raptors.<\/p>\n

This will be the third and final game in a regular season series that currently stands 1-1. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST\/4:00 PST as the first game of an NBATV Friday night doubleheader.<\/p>\n

Celtics Return Home<\/h3>\n

The Boston Celtics improved to 50-23 on the season after handling their business in Sacramento on Tuesday. The Celtics dominated the scoring down low with a 56-38 advantage in points in the paint.<\/p>\n

Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 36 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Derrick White recorded a 20 point, 12 assist double-double while Jaylen Brown added 27 points.<\/p>\n

Boston currently occupies the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference, 2.5 games behind the first place Bucks. The Celtics rank 3rd in scoring with 117.8 points a game on 47.4% from the field.<\/p>\n

The defense continues to improve and they now rank 7th in defensive rating and 4th in defensive scoring with 112.2 points allowed per game. Payton Pritchard is the only player listed on the Celtics injury report and he is doubtful with a heel injury.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pacers Struggle Without Haliburton<\/h3>\n

The Indiana Pacers upped their record to 33-40 on the season after beating the Raptors by four points on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Long distance shooting proved to be the difference as Toronto shot only 7-34 for 20.6% from beyond the arc while Indiana shot 11-21 for 52.4%. Andrew Nembhard led his team in scoring and assists with a 25 point, 10 assist double-double.<\/p>\n

Myles Turner added 16 points and 7 rebounds while Buddy Hield chipped in with 13 points and 6 rebounds.<\/p>\n

The Pacers currently occupy the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference, only 1.5 games from a spot in the play-in tournament. Indiana ranks 12th in scoring with 115.9 points a game on 46.7% from the field.<\/p>\n

Defense has been a struggle as they sit at 25th in defensive rating and 26th in defensive scoring with 118.2 points allowed per game. Tyrese Haliburton (knee) and Chris Duarte (ankle) are both listed as questionable for this contest.<\/p>\n

Boston Celtics vs Indiana Pacers Expert Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Boston Celtics are 11.5 home favorites with a total set at 236.5. The Pacers try to find their way into the post-season while the Celtics look to gain ground on the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference.<\/p>\n

Indiana allowed 141 points to the Philadelphia 76ers less than a week ago and we might see similar results tonight. The Pacers defense went from a poor rating of 116.2 on the season to a horrendous 119.2 rating in the six games since Haliburton went down with an injury.<\/p>\n

Tatum & Brown combined for 61 points against the Pacers when Haliburton played. Without him in the lineup it’s hard to imagine Boston scoring less than 120 points. The Celtics team total is through the roof at 124.5 but I’m still backing the over.<\/p>\n
