Calgary Flames vs Vegas Golden Knights Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Calgary Flames have won just two of their last five games overall and suffer from a rapidly diminishing playoff probability as a result, just 26.5% at some outlets, so really need to register a victory at home on Thursday against the Vegas Golden Knights in order to boost those chances.<\/p>\n

The good news for Calgary however is that they come in off a comprehensive 5-1 win over Anaheim on Tuesday with Tyler Toffoli getting three assists in that game, so they should provide a stern test for a Vegas Golden Knights team that have won six of their last seven games overall.<\/p>\n

This will be the fourth and final meeting between the two sides this year with Calgary currently owning a 2-1 advantage in the series.<\/p>\n

The home team has predominantly come out on top over recent years as well, winning 13 of the last 16 overall.<\/p>\n

Happy Thursday For Knights<\/h3>\n

While a single day of the week usually doesn\u2019t make that much difference to a team\u2019s chances of victory in a game, for whatever reason, Thursday has marked a huge swing in fortune in how both of these teams have performed of late.<\/p>\n

For Vegas, it\u2019s been a major positive, going 21-6 across their last 27 Thursday games overall while for Calgary it\u2019s been the complete opposite, going a miserable 7-21 across their last 28 Thursday matchups.<\/p>\n

Flames Struggling To Click<\/h3>\n

The Calgary Flames have been a little unfortunate this season given how strong their underlying data has been.<\/p>\n

The Flames rank 6th and 5th respectively on both offensive xG and defensive xGA this season, but have been undone by an expected to actual goal differential of -19, the joint-26th lowest mark in the league.<\/p>\n

We like the Under in this one on Thursday as both teams possess under-rated defenses in our eyes.<\/p>\n

As previously stated, the Calgary Flames rank as the 5th best team this year in terms of defensive xGA, but also rank 3rd and 7th respectively on both total shots allowed and opponent high-danger chances created this season also.<\/p>\n

Vegas meanwhile ranks 6th on opponent shot conversion percentage this year allowing just 8.97% on average, as well as ranking 4th on power-play goals allowed also.<\/p>\n

The Under has cashed in four of the Flames\u2019 last five home games overall and we\u2019re expecting another one to land here on Thursday also against the Vegas Golden Knights.<\/p>\n
