Colorado Avalanche vs Pittsburgh Penguins Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s been four straight losses now for the reeling Pittsburgh Penguins as they dropped out of the second wild card spot and desperately fight for their playoff lives heading into the final month of the regular season.<\/p>\n

The Colorado Avalanche meanwhile seem to be just heating up, winning six straight games, and are in hot pursuit of the top spot in the Western Conference as well with games in hand over their nearest rivals.<\/p>\n

This will be the second and final meeting between the two teams this season after the Penguins took game one via a 2-1 OT victory in Pittsburgh back at the start of February.<\/p>\n

The home team however has tended to hold the advantage in this series across recent meetings, winning six of the last eight overall.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh\u2019s Playoff Run In Serious Jeopardy<\/h3>\n

As Pittsburgh forward Jake Guentzel recently stated to the media, \u201cThe playoffs have started for us already\u201d, and if Pittsburgh don\u2019t soon find a way to turn the corner and generate some points in the league, their historic playoff run could soon be coming to an end.<\/p>\n

The Penguins have reached the playoffs in sixteen straight seasons, including winning three Stanley Cups across that time frame as well, but all of that is in serious jeopardy if they fail to put some wins together over their next few games.<\/p>\n

Colorado\u2019s Defense Continues To Be Rock Solid<\/h3>\n

Across their recent six-game winning run, the Colorado Avalanche have allowed more than two goals just twice as their defense has continued to be on point across March.<\/p>\n

That’s been the case for most of the season also as the Avalanche rank top five in the league in opponent shot conversion percentage and opponent high-danger shot conversion percentage also, as well as having who many consider to be the league’s third-best goalie this year in Alexandar Georgiev.<\/p>\n

Colorado Avalanche vs Pittsburgh Penguins Expert Prediction<\/h2>\n

This is an interesting matchup on Wednesday as for all Pittsburgh\u2019s issues of late, they still present a real offensive threat up front.<\/p>\n

The Penguins rank top three in the league in offensive xG, total scoring chances, and number of high-danger chances created this season as well, and if they can find a spark early in this one, they most definitely have the capability to win this game outright on Wednesday, just as they proved back in February.<\/p>\n

Whether or not that spark happens for them is anyone’s guess, but this line is just too high on Colorado in our opinion regardless, and the only way we could look in this one is by taking the Pittsburgh Penguins at a nice underdog price against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
