The Boston Celtics wrap up their west coast road trip at the Golden 1 Center with a interconference clash with the Sacramento Kings.<\/p>\n

The Kings finished their four game road trip 3-1 after losing 128-120 against the Utah Jazz on Monday. The Celtics slipped to 3-2 on the trip after losing a 118-117 nail bitter against the Utah Jazz.<\/p>\n

This will be the second and final game in a regular season series that the Celtics lead 1-0 after beating the Kings 122-104 at TD Garden in November. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST\/7:00 PST on NBA TV.<\/p>\n

Celtics Slipping Up<\/h3>\n

The Boston Celtics dipped to 49-23 on the season after losing in Utah on Saturday. Utah dominated the interior with a 56-40 rebounding advantage and 48-30 edge in points in the paint.<\/p>\n

Jaylen Brown led the Celtics in scoring with 25 points along with 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Grant Williams added 23 points while Jayson Tatum scored only 15 points in another poor shooting performance of 4-12.<\/p>\n

The Celtics now occupy the two seed in the Eastern Conference, 2.5 games behind the first place Bucks and only a half game ahead of the 3rd place 76ers. The Celts are the leagues 4th best scoring team with 117.6 points per game on 47.3% from the floor.<\/p>\n

They sit at 4th in defensive rating and 7th in defensive scoring with only 112.3 points allowed per game. Payton Pritchard is the only player listed on the injury report and he has already been ruled out with a heel injury.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kings Court<\/h3>\n

The Sacramento Kings dropped to 43-28 on the season after losing in Utah on Monday. They were outscored 56-38 in the paint while also losing the rebounding battle 48-43.<\/p>\n

De’Aaron Fox led all scorers with 37 points along with 7 assists and 4 rebounds. Domantas Sabonis fell an assist shy of a triple-double with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists while Keegan Murray chipped in with 22 points and 6 rebounds.<\/p>\n

The Kings have slipped to the third seed in the Western Conference, 4.5 games behind the first place Nuggets. Sacramento is the #1 scoring team in the NBA with 121 points a game on 49.7% from the field.<\/p>\n

Defense has been a completely different story as they ranked 25th in defensive rating and 28th in defensive scoring with 118.3 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Kevin Huerter is the only player listed on the current injury report and he has already been ruled out with a knee injury.<\/p>\n

Sacramento Kings vs Boston Celtics Expert Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Boston Celtics enter this contest as 5 point road favorites with a total set at 238. This should be an exciting matchup between arguably two of the top five teams in the league.<\/p>\n

The Kings don’t match up very well with Boston as they lack the wing defenders to deal with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.<\/p>\n

The Celtics easily handled Sacramento earlier this season, 122-104 in a game where Brown and Tatum combined for 55 points on 19-33 shooting from the floor. The Celtics have been short-handed but should be getting Al Horford and Marcus Smart back in action.<\/p>\n

Boston is one of the best shooting teams from beyond the arc and the Kings rank only 25th in three-point defense. The Kings are also on a back-to-back while Boston finally got some rest after three games in four nights. Give me the Celts on the short number.<\/p>\n
