The Golden State Warriors visit State Farm Arena in Atlanta for an interconference clash with the Hawks on Friday night. The Hawks are coming off a 136-115 home loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.<\/p>\n

The Warriors lost a shootout 134-126 on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

This will be the second and final game in a regular season series that the Warriors lead 1-0 after winning 143-141 in double overtime on January 2nd. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 PM EST\/4:30 PST on NBATV.<\/p>\n

Road Woes For Warriors<\/h3>\n

The Golden State Warriors fell to 36-34 on the season after losing a high scoring game to the Clippers. Los Angeles dominated the glass with a 44-36 rebounding edge.<\/p>\n

Steph Curry led all scorers with an impressive 50 point performance, going 8-14 from downtown. Kevon Looney snagged 13 rebounds while Jordan Poole added 19 points off the bench.<\/p>\n

The Warriors currently occupy the all important 6th seed in the Western Conference, only one game from dropping into the play-in tournament. They are the leagues 2nd best scoring offense with 118.3 points a game on 47.6% from the field.<\/p>\n

Golden State sits at 18th in defensive rating but 25th in defensive scoring with 117.7 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Steph Curry is listed as questionable for this contest due to left thumb soreness while Kevon Looney is probable with back injury. Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Ty Jerome and Andre Iguodala have all been ruled out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hawks Hope To Salvage Last Of Three At Home<\/h3>\n

The Atlanta Hawks slipped a game below .500 at 34-35 after dropping their second straight home game to the Timberwolves.<\/p>\n

Long distance shooting proved to be the difference maker as Minnesota shot 12-28 for 43% from beyond the arc while Atlanta shot only 4-22 for 18.2%. Trae Young led all scorers with 41 points on 15-25 from the field and 10-10 from the charity stripe.<\/p>\n

Clint Capela recorded a 10 point, 10 rebound double-double as did Onyeka Okongwu with 16 points and 14 rebounds off the bench. The Hawks sit at 8th place in the Eastern Conference, 2.5 games from missing the play-in tournament altogether.<\/p>\n

Atlanta ranks 5th in scoring with 117.2 points a game on 48.2% shooting. Defense has been a struggle as they rank 22nd in defensive rating and 24th in defensive scoring with 117.5 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Jalen Johnson is the only player listed on the injury report and he is probable with a tweaked hamstring.<\/p>\n

The Atlanta Hawks are 4 point home favorites with a huge total of 248. Every game down the stretch is critical as both these teams work to improve their playoff positioning.<\/p>\n

It’s been an odd season for Golden State, considering how dominant they are home and how poorly they play on the road.<\/p>\n
