It\u2019s not a fluke either.<\/p>\n They have allowed an average of just 0.43 xGA per 90 minutes, which leads the league, on only 8.3 shots, 4th fewest, and only 1.7 on target, 2nd fewest.<\/p>\n It\u2019s also worth mentioning that their schedule has been difficult as well facing both New York sides as well as last year\u2019s #2 seed in the East, Montreal.<\/p>\n Nashville hasn\u2019t generated much on the offensive side of the ball though, but mostly because they haven\u2019t needed too.<\/p>\n Through three games, they are averaging just 1.03 xG per match on a measly 8.7 shots with 2.7 on target, both ranking in the bottom five of the league. However, this is a team that averaged 1.60 xG last season which ranked 8th in the league and not much has changed on their roster.<\/p>\n The only major departure they experienced was on the defensive side of the ball as Dave Romney who played all but five matches in Nashville\u2019s first three seasons in the league moved on to, ironically, this New England side.<\/p>\n Mukhtar Must Improve For Nashville SC<\/h3>\nSo far reigning Golden Boot winner Hany Mukhtar has not contributed but that will eventually change. Revolution Refuse to Make Most of Easy Schedule<\/h3>\nEven with two layup games to start the season, New England is averaging just 1.03 xG per match which is certainly worrisome against a defense as strong as Nashville\u2019s.<\/p>\n However, dating back to last season, the problem for the Revolution was more on the defensive end as they allowed 1.60 xGA per 90 minutes which ranked as the 5th worst in the league and this season, they are on the exact same number.<\/p>\n New England Revolution vs Nashville SC Expert Prediction<\/h2>\nI already mentioned former Nashville defender Dave Romney as an addition to this team to try and shore up that backline while the Revs also added Latif Blessing from LAFC as a transition piece in the midfield.<\/p>\n On paper, they should be due for a slight improvement this season, but I\u2019m not expecting much, and I don\u2019t buy that they should be the favorite here.<\/p>\n I expect Nashville to continue to do what they have been doing this season and limit New England\u2019s chances.
