Seattle Sounders vs LAFC Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

Biggest matchup of the MLS season so far features arguably the two hottest teams to start the season as Seattle hosts the reigning MLS Cup champs, Los Angeles FC on Saturday at Lumen Field in an early kickoff at 1pm local time in Seattle (4pm ET).<\/p>\n

Seattle jumped out to a 2-0 start to the season with clean sheet wins over Colorado and Real Salt Lake scoring a combined six goals, before losing 0-1 at Cincinnati last weekend which is not a bad result against one of the Eastern Conference favorites.<\/p>\n

Sounders Stepping Up Play<\/h3>\n

Seattle was a team I penciled in for a big jump up the table this season as last year they were riddled with injuries and had to juggle both their MLS schedule and Champions League schedule the first few months of the season which saw them get off to a terribly slow start in league play.<\/p>\n

They did win the Champions League though, becoming the first MLS team to do so in its current format, so I bet they would still call the season a success.<\/p>\n

They are healthy so far this year and solely focused on the MLS. I\u2019m loving our preseason futures play on them to win the MLS Cup at +2900 as they have already fallen to +1600.<\/p>\n

In three matches, Seattle is averaging the 2nd most xG per 90 minutes at 2.33, behind only, you guessed it, LAFC.<\/p>\n

\"MLS<\/p>\n

LAFC Continues Dominance From Last Season<\/h3>\n

The defending champions have gotten off to a fast start this season as well going 2-0 and have scored seven goals already. They also put three more on the board in their Champions League match against Alajuelense.<\/p>\n

Their offense is clearly firing on all cylinders. They are averaging 2.35 xG per 90 minutes this season and rank 2nd in shot volume averaging 16.5 shots with 8.5 on target, behind only Kansas City whose totals are skewed coming off a 30-shot match vs the other LA team last weekend.<\/p>\n

LAFC returned nine starters from last year with their biggest loss coming in the form of Chicho Arango who was transferred to Liga MX side Pachuca.<\/p>\n

He scored 30 goals and added seven assists in just 51 appearances for the team, but thus far they haven\u2019t seemed to miss a beat. They brought in Stipe Biuk from Croatian side Hajduk Split who was a finalist the Golden Boy Award which recognizes Europes best young talent which highlights his potential.<\/p>\n

They also brought in Timothy Tillman from Germany to bolster their midfield and of course, still have one of the most prolific scorers in MLS history in Carlos Vela.<\/p>\n

Seattle Sounders vs LAFC Expert Prediction<\/h2>\n

This is a heated rivalry between two of the most successful clubs in MLS history that often provides fireworks when they meet as eight of the last 11 meetings have seen at least three goals scored. All signs point to another shootout on Saturday.<\/p>\n
