The Orlando Magic visit the Phoenix Suns for an interconference clash on Thursday evening. The Suns lost their third straight game 116-104 at home against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Magic lost their fourth game in five tries 132-114 on the road against the San Antonio Spurs.<\/p>\n

This will be the second and final game in a regular season series the Magic lead 1-0 after beating Phoenix 114-97 in Orlando. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST\/7:00 PST on NBATV.<\/p>\n

The Phoenix Suns are 8 point home favorites with a total set at 228. This sets the Magic team total at 109.5 and the Suns at 118.5. Orlando has allowed 122 points or more in 5 of their last 7 games while allowing 114 & 106 in the other two games.<\/p>\n

The Suns are actually in a bit of scoring rough patch with only 104 and 112 points in their last two games. However they scored 125+ points in four straight games prior to that. After three straight losses, I’m expecting a focused effort by the Suns at home. Give me the Phoenix team total over.<\/p>\n

Considering we rolled with the over for the Suns team total, their players overs are a natural place to look. De’Andre Ayton has point a total set at 19.5 and he has surpassed that mark in two of three games since Kevin Durant went down with injury witb 16, 27 & 22 points.<\/p>\n

The 16 point effort in his last game was due to a horrendous 8-19 shooting effort. If Ayton gets 19 shots again I like our chances as he has scored 20 points in 20 of 23 games with 15+ field goal attempts. The Magic have allowed 11 of the last 12 centers with 12+ field goal attempts to score 20 points or more.<\/p>\n

In Aytons last four games against Orlando, he has scored 21, 17, 14 & 21 points. The games he went under he only played 25 & 26 minutes. The Suns are going to need Ayton on the court tonight, give me his over.<\/p>\n

Franz Wagner has a point total set at 16.5 points and he has actually cleared that in 46 of 68 games for a 68% success rate on the season. He has cleared this total in 5 of his last 8 games.<\/p>\n

However all five overs were at home with 17, 21, 24, 24 & 18 points, while the three unders were on the road with 11, 9 & 11 points. This is a season long trend as Wagner has scored 17+ points in 26 of 34 games for a 76% success rate but fallen short in 20 of 34 games for a 59% success rate.<\/p>\n

Wagner scored 17 points against Phoenix in November, but guess what? That game was at home. This one is on the road, give me the under.<\/p>\n
