The Knicks watched a nine game winning streak fall by the wayside in a 112-105 home loss against the Charlotte Hornets.<\/p>\n This is the second and final game in a regular season series that New York leads 1-0 after beating Sacramento 112-99 at Madison Square Garden in December. Tip-off is slated for 10:00 PM EST\/7:00 PM PST as the nightcap of a TNT Thursday night doubleheader.<\/p>\n The Sacramento Kings improved to 38-26 on the season after winning six of their last seven games including a victory over New Orleans in their last game.<\/p>\n The Kings outshot the Pels 16-38 to 11-29 from beyond the arc. Domantas Sabonis recorded a 19 point, 11 rebound, 11 assist triple-double. Kevin Huerter led all scorers with 25 points along with 8 rebounds while Davion Mitchell chipped in with 15 points.<\/p>\n The Kings are now neck-and-neck with the Memphis Grizzlies for the #2 seed in the Western, seven games behind the first place Nuggets.<\/p>\n Sacramento scores 121 points a game, making them the top scoring team in the NBA by a wide margin of three full points.<\/p>\n Defense has been a different story, as they sit at 25th in defensive rating and 28th in defensive scoring with 118.4 points allowed per game. The Kings are sporting a squeaky clean injury report for this contest.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The New York Knicks fell to 39-28 on the season after the Charlotte Hornets snapped their nine game winning streak. The Hornets outshot New York 49% to 42% from the field.<\/p>\n RJ Barrett led his team in scoring with 27 points, despite shooting only 1-7 from three-point land. Julius Randle scored 16 points but shot only 5-17 from the field while Jalen Brunson missed the game with injury.<\/p>\n The Knicks now sit at 5th place in the Eastern Conference, nine games behind the first place Celtics and four games from slipping into the play-in tournament.
