The Knicks are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now, and the Charlotte Hornets\u2026we\u2019ll just say they are not one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

On paper this looks like a huge mismatch, but we\u2019ve seen these matchups turn wonky this NBA season so what do we do with this game from a betting perspective?<\/p>\n

New York State Of Mind<\/h3>\n

The Knicks are on a tear right now winning 11 out of 12 games and they\u2019re 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games so it\u2019s going to be tough to bet against them right now.<\/p>\n

They are coming off a crazy double OT game against Boston where they won by two, but they\u2019ve had two days rest so they should be fresh for this home game.<\/p>\n

They are pretty safe in the #5 seed, but they are only a couple of games away from Cleveland and Philly so if they can keep this streak going, they can improve their seeding if anyone slips.<\/p>\n

Quickley is getting the headlines from Sunday\u2019s game for his 38 points, but he\u2019s been a solid contributor for a while now as he\u2019s had 13 or more points in 11 straight games.<\/p>\n

With Robinson back to provide the rebounding and protecting the paint presence, combined with Brunson and Randle, this team is looking dangerous.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hornets Struggling<\/h3>\n

The Hornets look like they\u2019re about done with this season, and understandable so. They have 20 wins which means they aren\u2019t very close to the Wembanyama race to the bottom, but they don\u2019t look like they will make the play-in games either.<\/p>\n

The last three games have been really bad as they can\u2019t score. They had 86 points against Brooklyn, 106 against Orlando and 91 against Phoenix, and seeing as the Knicks are scoring at will against opponents, they\u2019re going to have to shoot out of their minds tonight to keep it close.<\/p>\n

The last 10 games they are the 2nd worst team in offensive efficiency, and they\u2019re struggling to rebound as they are 22nd the last 10 games.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t want to lay -9.5 points as it could be a bit of a let down spot for the Knicks, but with the Hornets offense struggling as much as it is I like the under in this one.<\/p>\n

Charlotte is 8-2 to the under their last 10, and 7-3 their last 10 games on the road. I also really like Mitchell Robinson over 11.5 rebounds. If Charlotte is missing shots, he\u2019ll have a huge night on the boards.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s 4-2 to the over since his return on Feb. 24 with his unders coming against Miami and a blowout where he played fewer minutes, and he had 14 against Boston last game, and he played Charlotte on Dec. 9 and had 13 against them.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Under 226<\/strong><\/p>\n
