Again, not what you would expect from a Champions League quality side. I\u2019m not a believer in Brugge in general, and especially not on the road here with their ugly form.<\/p>\n If we are comparing Benfica to the Jupiler League\u2019s best team, it\u2019s worth noting Brugge lost 1-3 at Genk just last month. But Genk doesn\u2019t compare to Benfica. They didn\u2019t even qualify for any European football competition this season.<\/p>\n Benfica Bowling Through Liga Portugal<\/h3>\nSpeaking of Benfica who are Champions League regulars, they have won ten of their last 13 matches as only Braga has been able to beat them (twice) whilst also settling for one draw vs Sporting.<\/p>\n They are dominating Liga Portugal with a 20-2-1 record and ridiculous +45 goal differential as they have conceded just 13 goals in 23 matches.<\/p>\n I would asterisk their league record when comparing to any of the Big 5 as it is clearly weaker, but when comparing to the Jupiler League, it actually ranks tougher.<\/p>\n Benfica vs Club Brugge Expert Prediction<\/h2>\nIn three matches since their Leg 1 meeting, Benfica has won all three and conceded a total of just one goal while Brugge has one win, one draw and one loss conceding a total of five goals, all of those coming in two away matches.<\/p>\n Bottom line, there is no argument that Benfica is the more talented team, they only possible hiccup is that Benfica doesn\u2019t have to win this match to move on, but I think they do win by multiple goals and keep their momentum going.<\/p>\n Prediction: Benfica -1.5 +110<\/strong><\/p>\n |
