Denver Nuggets vs Memphis Grizzlies Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Memphis Grizzlies visit Ball Arena for a Western Conference clash with the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets are coming off a 133-112 victory on the road over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night. The Grizzlies won their third straight game 113-99 in Houston on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

This will be the deciding game in a three game regular season series that Memphis evened up 1-1 after beating Denver 112-94 at home on February 25th. Tip-off is slated for 10:00 PM EST\/7:00 PST as the nightcap of an ESPN Friday night doubleheader.<\/p>\n

How The West Was Won<\/h3>\n

The Denver Nuggets improved to a Western Conference best 44-19 after winning their second straight game in Houston. Long distance shooting proved to be the difference as the Nuggets shot 16-37 for 43% from beyond the arc while Houston went only 9-31 for 29%.<\/p>\n

Jamal Murray led all scorers with 32 points and 6 assists on 12-18 shooting from the field. Nikola Jokic recorded a 14 point, 11 rebound, 10 assist triple-double while Michael Porter Jr chipped in with 17 points.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets have a five game lead over Memphis for the top seed in the Western Conference. Denver has an elite offense that ranks 6th in scoring with 117.2 points a game on an NBA best 51% from the field.<\/p>\n

They sit above average in both defensive rating at 14th and defensive scoring at 12th with 112.8 points allowed per game. Michael Porter Jr and Aaron Gordon are both listed as probable with injuries while Zeke Nnaji has already been ruled out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Grizzlies Bear Down<\/h3>\n

The Memphis Grizzlies upped their record to 38-23 on the season after winning their third straight game against the Rockets. They outshot Houston 40-83 for 48% to only 36-90 for 32%.<\/p>\n

Desmond Bane led all scorers with 30 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Ja Morant added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists while Jaren Jackson Jr chipped in with 17 points.<\/p>\n

The Grizzlies rank 9th in scoring with 115.9 points a game on 46.9% from the field. Defense has been a strength as they sit 2nd in defensive rating and 6th in defensive scoring with only 111.6 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

This will be the Grizzlies last shot to gain ground in a head-to-head game against Denver. Steven Adams remains out with a knee injury and is the only player listed on the Memphis injury report.<\/p>\n

The Denver Nuggets enter this contest as 5 point home favorites with a total set at 234. This is a showdown between the top two teams in the Western Conference with the Grizzlies sitting five games behind the Nuggets.<\/p>\n

Memphis has won three straight games, including an 18 point victory over Denver only six days ago. It was the Nuggs only loss in their past seven games and they have ripped off totals of 134 & 133 in two games since then.<\/p>\n

Denver has been absolutely dominant at home with a 28-4 SU record while going 21-10-1 ATS. The Grizzlies are still missing their big man in Steven Adams while the Nuggets are fully healthy.<\/p>\n

This should be a hard fought game in a playoff type atmosphere. However the Nuggets are the deeper team and I will be backing them at home tonight.<\/p>\n
