Miami Heat vs New York Knicks Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The New York Knicks look to extend a seven game winning streak on the road against the Miami Heat on Friday night. The Heat are coming off a 119-96 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The Knicks crushed the Brooklyn Nets 142-118 at Madison Square Garden. This will be the second of four games in a regular season series that New York leads 1-0 after winning 106-104 at home on February 2nd. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM EST\/5:00 PST from America Airlines Arena.<\/p>\n

Heat Humbled By 76ers<\/h3>\n

The Miami Heat fell to 33-30 on the season after losing to Philadelphia on Wednesday. Long distance shooting proved to be the difference as the 76ers shot 15-39 for 39% from beyond the arc while Miami went only 7-29 for 24%.<\/p>\n

Bam Adebayo led the team in scoring and rebounding with 20 points and 8 boards. Jimmy Butler added 16 points while Max Strus scored 13 off the bench. The Heat currently occupy the 7th seed in the Western Conference 3.5 games behind the Knicks and 2.5 games away from missing the play-in tournament altogether.<\/p>\n

Offense has been a struggle as they rank dead last in scoring with only 107.8 points a game on 45% from the field. Defense has been their calling card as they sit at 6th in defensive rating and 2nd in defensive scoring with only 108.6 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Butler is questionable for Friday’s game due to right knee soreness while Kyle Lowry (knee) and Nikola Jovic (back) have both already been ruled out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Knicks Firing On All Cylinders<\/h3>\n

The New York Knicks improved to 37-27 on the season after winning their 7th straight game on Wednesday over Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

They dominated the interior with a 46-31 rebounding advantage and 56-40 edge in points in the paint. Jalen Brunson led all scorers 39 points on an impressive 15-18 from the floor and 5-6 from three-point land.<\/p>\n

Mitchell Robinson recorded a 13 point, 10 rebound double-double while Julius Randle added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. The Knicks have moved into the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference, 9 games behind the first place Celtics.<\/p>\n

New York ranks 13th in scoring with 115.1 points a game on 46.5% from the floor. They also sit at 13th in defensive rating and 7th in defensive scoring with only 112 points allowed per game. The Knicks are sporting a clean injury report, a breath of fresh air nowadays.<\/p>\n

The New York Knicks enter this contest as 3.5 point road favorites with a total set at 215. These are two of the slowest teams in the league, ranking 26th and 28th in pace of play.<\/p>\n

If the Heat are going to win this game, they will need to do it on the defensive end and the home team generally dictates pace.<\/p>\n

We saw only 210 points scored a month ago when these teams went head-to-head at Madison Square Garden. Over the last ten meetings between these teams they have averaged only 211.7 points.<\/p>\n
