Charlotte Hornets vs Phoenix Suns Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Charlotte Hornets travel to Phoenix for an interconference showdown with the Suns on Wednesday night. The Suns are coming off a 104-101 loss on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. The Hornets won their fifth straight game 117-106 at home against the Detroit Pistons on Monday.<\/p>\n

This will be the second and final game in a regular season series that Phoenix leads 1-0 after winning 128-97 in Charlotte on January 24th. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST\/4:00 PST from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.<\/p>\n

Suns Activate Durant<\/h3>\n

The Phoenix Suns record dipped to 33-29 on the season after losing to Milwaukee. Free throws proved to be the difference maker as Milwaukee shot 15-21 for 71.4% while Phoenix went only 13-22 for 59%.<\/p>\n

Devin Booker led his team in scoring with 24 points along with 8 assists. De’Andre Ayton recorded a 22 point, 11 rebound double-double while Chris Paul added 18 points and 7 assists.<\/p>\n

The Suns currently occupy the 4th seed in the Western Conference, 10.5 games behind the first place Nuggets and 1.5 games from dropping into the play-in tournament.<\/p>\n

Phoenix ranks 21st in scoring with only 112.7 points a game on 46.4% from the field. Defense is their calling card as they sit at 8th in defensive rating and 5th in defensive scoring with only 111.3 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

The big news is Kevin Durant being activated to play in tonight’s contest for his first time as a Phoenix Sun. Terrance Ross and Landry Shamet have both been ruled out for this contest.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hornets Buzzing<\/h3>\n

The Charlotte Hornets improved to 20-43 on the season after winning their fifth straight game over Detroit. Three-point shooting proved to be the difference as Detroit shot only 3-26 for 11.5% from beyond the arc while Charlotte shot 13-26 for 50%.<\/p>\n

Terry Rozier led his team in scoring with 22 points on 9-19 from the field. Mark Williams recorded a 15 point, 11 rebound double-double while Lamelo Ball chipped in with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.<\/p>\n

The Hornets are moving in the wrong direction as their five game win streak has lowered their chances at a high draft pick. They rank 22nd in scoring with 112.6 points a game on 45.6% from the field.<\/p>\n

The Hornets also rank 22nd in defensive rating and 27th in defensive scoring with 118.4 points allowed per game. Lamelo Ball (ankle), PJ Washington (foot) and Cody Martin (knee) have all already been ruled out for this contest.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Phoenix Suns are 10 point home favorites with a total set at 229. One team adds a superstar while the other losses theirs for the remainder of the season as Durant joins the Suns while Lamelos season ended with an ankle injury against Detroit.<\/p>\n

This doesn’t seem like a good thing for the over on either side as they adjust to different personnel on the floor.<\/p>\n

During the Hornets five game win streak they have ratcheted up the defense with the under cashing in four of those five games.<\/p>\n

The Suns defense ranks 8th in rating and 5th in scoring. Ball being out is tremendous blow for Charlotte as he is their everything. The uncertainty swirling around both rosters makes this game off limits for player props but we will gladly take a shot on the under.<\/p>\n
