Boise State vs San Diego State Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Aztecs earned a 72-52 win over Boise in San Diego on February 3, but that game deserves a couple asterisks. Broncos’ leading scorer Marcus Shaver missed that game with an injury, but Boise has won four of its last five with him.<\/p>\n

Senior forward Naje Smith was battling an injury that he suffered the previous week and was held to two points in that contest.<\/p>\n

Sophomore forward Tyson Degenhart battled foul trouble and was held to his second-lowest minutes output since New Years. So there’s virtually nothing that you can take away from that first meeting that will carry over into tonight.<\/p>\n

Boise State Brings The Defense<\/h3>\n

The Broncos lost a much needed game at San Jose State in overtime their last time out which snapped a 4-game winning streak.<\/p>\n

Senior Max Rice has been letting it fly as of late but that can sometimes hurt the Broncos as he went 4-18 in their overtime loss to the Spartans.<\/p>\n

As a team, Boise State is #1 in adjusted defensive efficiency and play at the 3rd fastest adjusted tempo in Mountain West play.<\/p>\n

Though their defense plays tough, They\u2019re 9th in block percentage and 10th in steal percentage on that side of the ball as well. If Boise is going to cover, it\u2019s going to be due to their defensive effort.<\/p>\n

San Diego State Sports Mountain West’s Top Offense<\/span><\/h3>\n

That effort will be put to the test against the Mountain West\u2019s top offense as San Diego State is #1 in adjusted offensive efficiency in conference play.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re also first in effective field goal percentage allowed and 3pt field goal percentage allowed. If this game is close the Aztecs could be in trouble as their free throw shooting percentage in Mountain West play ranks 9th out of 11 teams.<\/p>\n

They try to stay away from the free throw line though as they only shot four free throw attempts during their last game, all by Darrion Trammell. Senior Matt Bradley will need to pick up his game only shooting 38% from the field in his last three games.<\/p>\n

Boise State vs San Diego State Expert Prediction<\/span><\/h2>\n

San Diego State clinched at least a share of the Mountain West regular season title with a buzzer-beater win at New Mexico on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Should be a big motivational edge for Boise. It’s their senior night and they still have a shot to split the title with San Diego State.<\/p>\n

The Aztecs already took care of business and have the No. 1 seed virtually locked up.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Boise State Broncos -2.5<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
