Edmonton Oilers vs Boston Bruins Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The league\u2019s #1 team, the Boston Bruins, travel to Rogers Place on Monday to continue a road trip in which they\u2019ve unsurprisingly opened with solid back-to-back wins against the Seattle Kraken and Vancouver Canucks respectively across recent starts, and look to add win #3 against the Edmonton Oilers later tonight.<\/p>\n

Edmonton meanwhile will be looking to rectify a home record since mid-January that has seen them win just two of their five games at home, both coming against struggling teams in the Philadelphia Flyers and Chicago Blackhawks.<\/p>\n

This will be the first of two meetings this season between the Bruins and Oilers, with the teams splitting the series 1-1 last year. Edmonton, however, have had the much better going of it across recent years, winning 9 of their past 13 head-to-head meetings against Boston overall.<\/p>\n

Slight Wobble For Bruins Appears To Be Over<\/h3>\n

The Boston Bruins, after what was a red-hot start to their 2022-23 campaign, looked on somewhat shaky ground in the run-up to the All-Star Break.<\/p>\n

They generated just one win in five games, which included Washington in their first game back as well, as fatigue and the rigors of the season started to take their toll on the roster.<\/p>\n

However, that break seems to have refreshed the team as they\u2019re playing some of their best hockey of the season right now, with four of their last five wins all coming via multiple-goal margins against solid teams.<\/p>\n

Edmonton\u2019s Leaky Defense Continues To Ensure Struggles<\/h3>\n

With the league\u2019s #1 scoring offense (3.83 GPG), and the league\u2019s top scorer as well in Connor McDavid, you\u2019d be forgiven for thinking the Oilers should be in a better place in the league than they currently are.<\/p>\n

However, with a defense that has allowed a mammoth 5.6 goals per game on average across each of their last five losses, it\u2019s an area Edmonton really needs to focus on improving if they\u2019re intent on making a deep playoff run.<\/p>\n

Edmonton Oilers vs Boston Bruins Expert Prediction<\/h2>\n

I believe at the current number, Edmonton presents some value at home tonight against Boston.<\/p>\n

The Oilers are in good bounceback territory tonight after giving up six goals off just 26 shots in Saturday\u2019s matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and have generally played up and down to their level of competition this season.<\/p>\n

They posted three straight victories against the Vegas Golden Knights, Seattle Kraken, and Tampa Bay Lightning respectively last month, the latter two of which came at home.<\/p>\n

Leon Draisaitl has scored in seven straight games heading into this one and the Oilers have a terrific recent record over the Bruins as well, so we’re happy to side with the Edmonton Oilers as home underdogs on Monday to upset the Boston Bruins in this one.<\/p>\n
