Liverpool vs Real Madrid Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

Both of last season\u2019s finalists square off in one of the ties of this year\u2019s Round of 16 in the Champions League knockout round as Liverpool host Real Madrid in a battle of two giants on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

Liverpool enters the midweek clash in one of their best vein of forms of the season, rattling off two straight wins with an excellent road showing against a strong Newcastle side on Saturday arguably being one of their best performances of the season so far.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid meanwhile came off a solid 2-0 win over Osasuna at the weekend but have been terribly inconsistent on the road this season, failing to string two or more league wins together away from home since all the way back to October.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have failed to beat Real Madrid in European competition since 2009, failing to win any of their previous three meetings against the Spanish giants.<\/p>\n

Los Blancos Rue Road Form<\/h3>\n

Real Madrid\u2019s less-than-stellar road form this season has led them to fall a full eight points off the pace behind Barcelona this season in the race for the LaLiga crown.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s an issue that hasn\u2019t been restricted to just their domestic form this season either, with Real Madrid banking just one win over their three Champions League group stage road matches this year, a win away from home in Scotland in which Celtic were arguably the much better team in over the opening 45 minutes as well.<\/p>\n

Liverpool Look To Leave Domestic Problems Behind<\/h3>\n

While the Reds have no doubt struggled in the Premier League this season, their form in Europe continues to run solid, with an opening 4-1 loss against Napoli being their only blemish on an otherwise perfect record in the group, with Liverpool gaining revenge on Napoli in the final game also.<\/p>\n

Data wise Liverpool have been extremely strong as well, with no other team in the competition registering a higher expected goal differential at home than Liverpool have this season.<\/p>\n

Liverpool vs Real Madrid Prediction<\/h2>\n

While it\u2019s difficult to separate Liverpool\u2019s domestic league form this season from their European form, it\u2019s clear that for whatever reason Liverpool generally excel in the European format, and have done across multiple seasons, including closing out their final five Champions League group games of this season on a combined 16-2 scoreline.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid meanwhile have looked anything like their old selves away from home this season, ranking 10th and 12th respectively in both expected goals differential and defensive xGA on the road in Champions League action this year.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re happy to side with Liverpool at a straight pick \u2018em price at home in this one to get a result at Anfield against current champions Real Madrid on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
