New York Islanders vs Pittsburgh Penguins Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

Metropolitan Divisional rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Islanders face off on Friday night over at the UBS Arena in Elmont with just two points separating both teams in the standings.<\/p>\n

The Islanders will look to rebound from a three-game losing stretch over their last few games, two of which came at home, as the Isles have won just six of twenty games since the start of 2023.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh meanwhile comes into this one in some better form overall, winning three of their last four games outright, but have lost nine of their last twelve games away from home.<\/p>\n

This will be the second of four meetings between the two teams this season after the New York Islanders won in blowout fashion 5-1 in this venue back in late December.<\/p>\n

Offensive Struggles For The Penguins<\/h3>\n

The Pittsburgh Penguins have failed to maintain any measure of regularity this season in their scoring, with 3, 0, and 6 goals all being scored across each of their last three games, but it\u2019s definitely been more of the former rather than the latter this season.<\/p>\n

Despite ranking top ten in total shots this season, Pittsburgh\u2019s sub-10% shot conversion percentage, along with a high-danger conversion percentage of just 8.9% on the season, 28th in the league overall, has ensured the Penguins have continued to struggle offensively this year.<\/p>\n

Islanders Own The Division<\/h3>\n

While the New York Islanders are well off the pace this season in terms of matching the kind of start the Carolina Hurricanes and New Jersey Devils have enjoyed, they have generally owned head-to-head meetings against teams in this division recently.<\/p>\n

The Islanders own a red-hot 23-11 record over their last 34 games against in-division rivals and will no doubt look to continue that strong trend here on Friday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.<\/p>\n
