Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Denver Nuggets wrap up a three game road trip in Miami on Monday night against the Heat. The Heat won their third straight game 107-103 in overtime on the road against the Orlando Magic. The Nuggets picked up a 119-105 victory in Charlotte on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

This will be the second and final game in a regular season series Denver leads 1-0 after winning 124-119 at home on December 30th. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 PM EST\/4:30 PST on NBATV.<\/p>\n

Jokers Wild<\/h3>\n

The Denver Nuggets improved to a Western Conference best 39-18 on the season after winning in Charlotte on Saturday. Denver dominated the interior with a 51-37 rebounding edge while outscoring the Hornets 78-52 in the paint.<\/p>\n

Nikola Jokic recorded his league leading 24th triple-double with 30 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists. The point and rebounds were game highs.<\/p>\n

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope chipped in with 15 points and 5 assists while Michael Porter Jr added 14 points and 6 rebounds. The Nuggets currently occupy the top spot in the West with a 4.5 game lead over the Memphis Grizzlies.<\/p>\n

They rank 6th in scoring with 117.2 points a game on a league high 51% from the field. The Nuggets rank slightly above average defensively at 14th in defensive rating and 13th in scoring with 112.9 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Jamal Murray (knee) and Aaron Gordon (rib) are both listed as questionable while Collin Gillespie and Zeke Nnaji have already been ruled out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bringing The Heat in OT<\/h3>\n

It took overtime, but the Miami Heat upped their record to 32-25 on the season after prevailing in Orlando on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Free throws may have been the difference as Miami shot 21-23 91.3% from the charity stripe while Orlando went 18-23 78.3%. Tyler Herro led all scorers with only 23 points despite shooting only 2-10 from beyond the arc.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Butler added 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists while Bam Adebayo recorded a 13 point, 17 rebound double-double.<\/p>\n

The Heat currently occupy the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference, 9 games behind the first place Celtics and 1.5 games away from dropping into a play-in tournament. They are literally the leagues worst scoring team with only 108.4 points a game on 45.2% shooting.<\/p>\n

Defense is their calling card as they sit at 5th in defensive rating and 2nd in defensive scoring with 108.1 points per game. It would be easier to list who isn’t on the Miami injury report.<\/p>\n

Victor Oladipo, Nikola Jovic, Duncan Robinson and Kyle Lowry ruled out and Tyler Herro, Max Strus, Haywood Highsmith, Udonis Haslem, Gabe Vincent, Bam Adebayo all questionable.<\/p>\n

This game is a virtual pick’em with the Denver Nuggets being favored by only 1.5 and a low total of 219.5. Both of these teams favor a slow tempo as they rank 18th and 28th in pace of play.<\/p>\n

Miami plays at an even slower tempo at home while Denver plays slower on the road. Both are also bottom ten in field goal attempt rate. Both defenses force turnovers which could kill multiple possessions for both sides.<\/p>\n

The Heat are also banged up beyond belief and could be missing some serious scoring. The last four head-to-head meetings have gone over the total but it’s time to start a new trend tonight.<\/p>\n
