AC Milan vs Tottenham Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

Champions League action returns this week as Tottenham and AC Milan meet in the San Siro on Tuesday night for a vital first-leg clash over in Italy.<\/p>\n

Tottenham topped their group back in early December with 11 points gained from six games which was enough to see them come out on top over last season\u2019s Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt and knock out Sporting Lisbon and Marseille from this year\u2019s competition in the process.<\/p>\n

AC Milan meanwhile finished in second place behind Chelsea in their group, but were forced to dig deep over their final two games, with Salzburg sitting above them heading into matchday 5 before Milan beat both Dinamo Zagreb and Salzburg convincingly over their final two games to eventually qualify.<\/p>\n

AC Milan have never beaten Tottenham in European competition, with Tottenham winning both of their previous meetings outright also.<\/p>\n

Tottenham Show History Of Shutting Out Milan<\/h3>\n

With a poor 4-1 defeat away to Leicester at the weekend, Spurs will be looking to rebound with a victory in this one against an opponent they\u2019ve controlled in past meetings.<\/p>\n

While Tottenham remain unbeaten against AC Milan in European competition, they\u2019ve also shut them out across each of their last four meetings as well, and will no doubt be hoping for more of the same on Tuesday also.<\/p>\n

Rumors Continue To Swirl Around Pioli<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s been no secret that the Milan faithful have been extremely disappointed with how this season’s turned out, especially after last year\u2019s historic triumph where they won the Serie A title.<\/p>\n

Chief on that hit list is manager Stefano Pioli, and with the Rossoneri currently sitting outside of the Champions League spots this season in Serie A and amassing just one win over their last six league games as well, if AC Milan go on to crash out to Tottenham in this round, it could spell curtains for Pioli at the San Siro.<\/p>\n

AC Milan vs Tottenham Prediction<\/h2>\n

This should be an extremely tight game between two good teams on Tuesday with Tottenham no doubt content to take a result back to London given the weekend’s results, while Milan will likely see any result outside of a loss a major positive here given the two teams’ past history.<\/p>\n

On the data side of things, there\u2019s been very little to separate either side in this competition so far, with just 0.17 xGD between them based on home and away form over their six group stage matches in this tournament.<\/p>\n

With another close game expected in this one, we\u2019re happy to side with the outright draw here at a big price to get to the window on Tuesday in the Champions League Round of 16 leg 1 clash between Tottenham and AC Milan.<\/p>\n
