Los Angeles Lakers vs Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Oklahoma City Thunder visit Crypto.com Arena for a Western Conference clash with the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

The Lakers watched a two game winning streak fall by the wayside as they landed on the wrong side of a 131-126 shootout against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night. The Thunder were run over 142-114 last night on the road against the Golden State Warriors.<\/p>\n

This will be the first of three games in a regular season series that will resume March 1st in Oklahoma City and March 24th back in LA. Tip-off is slated for 10:00 PM EST\/7:00 PST as the nightcap of a TNT Thursday night doubleheader.<\/p>\n

Chasing History<\/h3>\n

The Los Angeles Lakers record dipped to 25-29 on the season after losing on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday. Team stats were close across the board, but they were outshot 52-100 52% to 45-94 47.9%.<\/p>\n

Anthony Davis led his team in scoring and rebounding with 34 points and 14 rebounds. Lebron James added 27 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists while Russell Westbrook chipped in with 15 points off the bench.<\/p>\n

LeBron James is 36 points away from surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBAs top all-time scorer. The Lakers currently occupy the 13th seed in the Western Conference, 1.5 games away from the play-in tournament.<\/p>\n

Like Oklahoma City, the Lakers rely on offense as they rank 6th in scoring with 117.1 points a game on 48.1% from the floor.<\/p>\n

Defense has been a different story, as they sit at 20th in defensive rating and 27th in defensive scoring with 118.4 points allowed per game. Lebron James and Anthony Davis are both listed as questionable for this contest while Austin Reeves remains out with a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n

Thunder Struck<\/h3>\n

The Oklahoma City Thunder dropped to 25-28 on the season after losing their fourth game in their last six tries against the Dubs last night at Golden State.<\/p>\n

The Warriors had a a tremendous advantage in three-point shooting as they went 26-50 52% from beyond the arc while the Thunder went only 11-32 for 34.4%. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led his team in scoring with only 20 points on 6-16 from the field.<\/p>\n

Josh Giddey had a solid all around game with 15 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds while Aaron Wiggins chipped in with 19 points. The Thunder currently occupy the 12th seed in the Western Conference, only one game away from the play-in tournament.<\/p>\n

Offense is the OKC calling card as they rank 5th in scoring with 117.3 points a game on 46.9% shooting. They sit at 12th in defensive rating and 20th in defensive scoring with 116.4 points allowed per game. Lou Dort is out with a hamstring injury and won’t be returning tonight.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Lakers vs Oklahoma City Thunder Expert Player Prop Prediction<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Los Angeles Lakers enter this contest as 6.5 point home favorites with a total set at 239.5. This teams are eerily similar as their records are close to identical and they both excel on offense and struggle with defense.<\/p>\n

With a total of close to 240, we should see an uptempo game with plenty of scoring. With James chasing history and AD scoring at will in the paint, Westbrook should be able to stack up a ton of assists in this game.<\/p>\n

Westbrook has an assist line set at 6.5 and prior to last game he cleared that line easily with 10, 8, 10 & 7 assists. The Thunder allow the 10th most assists to opposing point guards with 8.62 per game.<\/p>\n

Westbrook cleared this mark in 2 of 3 games against OKC last season with 7, 5 & 13 assists. The combination of a fast paced game, vulnerable opponent and Los Angeles having other scoring options will push Russ up and over this number. Q<\/p>\n
