These teams first met back in November,\u00a0at Atlanta. At the time, the Jazz were rolling. In a game which went back and forth, Utah used a big fourth quarter to win 125-119.<\/p>\n

While the Hawks look great at times, they’ve been inconsistent. They lost four in a row, following the Christmas break. That was followed by a stretch where they won seven of nine. They’ve since dropped four of their last six. However, they are coming off a 32-point road win, at Phoenix.<\/p>\n

Like their guests, the Jazz also struggled after Christmas. They lost five straight and seven of eight. They’ve been pretty solid since, winning seven of 10 games.<\/p>\n

Utah Jazz vs Atlanta Hawks Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

These teams have similar records. The Jazz are 27-26 and the Hawks are 26-26. Both currently sit in eighth spot, in their respective conferences.<\/p>\n

The point spread tells a different story though. The Jazz are a lucrative 29-22-2 against the number. Conversely, the Hawks are a money-burning 22-29-1 ATS.<\/p>\n

Both teams have been profitable for ‘over’ bettors. The Hawks have seen the ‘over’ go 29-23. Even better, the ‘over’ is 30-21-2 (59%) when Utah takes the floor.<\/p>\n

Home Is Where The Heart Is<\/h3>\n

The Jazz may have won at Atlanta but both teams are better on their home floor. The Hawks are 13-11 at home but 13-15 (12-16 ATS) on the road.<\/p>\n

The disparity is much greater for Utah. The Jazz are 9-17 away from Salt Lake City but 18-9 (15-10-2 ATS) here at Vivint Arena.<\/p>\n

The Jazz are playing the third of five straight at home. They’ve won the first two and have Minnesota and Dallas on deck. They have the next two days off.<\/p>\n

Atlanta, on the other hand, is playing the third of five straight on the road. Having split the first two games of the trip, the Hawks play again tomorrow, at Denver.<\/p>\n

Which Team Will Keep It Going?<\/h3>\n

I’ve mentioned the mediocre records. Both clubs looked great last game though. The Jazz scored 131 points to knock off the Raptors. The Suns put up 132 points in their blowout of the Raptors.<\/p>\n

Really, I could make a case for and against both teams. Both are healthy and both are off a victory.<\/p>\n

The Hawks are 5-2 ATS when playing with “home” revenge, 26-17 ATS the past 2+ seasons, when attempting to avenge an earlier home loss. While that sounds pretty good, during the same stretch, they’re also 13-29 ATS, when coming off an “upset” win.<\/p>\n

The Jazz have been getting it done lately. However, they’re still only 9-15-2 ATS when laying points.<\/p>\n

Utah Jazz vs Atlanta Hawks Player Prop<\/span> Prediction<\/span><\/h2>\n

Instead of trying to choose a side or total, I feel that there’s better value in the proposition market. When considering the following player prop bet, keep in mind that this game has the highest O\/U line on the Friday betting board.<\/p>\n

Trae Young is still “the guy” in Atlanta. Young wasn’t needed much last game as the Hawks were blowing out Phoenix and the entire team was shooting well. He only played 27 minutes. Yet, he still managed 20 points and 12 assists.<\/p>\n

This game will likely be more competitive and Young is going to need to play more minutes and to take more shots. In his previous four games, he played 36, 35, 38 and 38 minutes.<\/p>\n

In those contests he had 41, 44, 34 and 37 combined points and assists. On the season, he averages 36.9 points plus assists. In a game which is expected to be very high-scoring in nature, he should exceed his average. I have him scoring 30+ and adding at least 10 assists.<\/p>\n
