Villarreal vs Rayo Vallecano Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

Spanish LaLiga action on Monday as Villarreal takes on Rayo Vallecano over in the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia with both teams looking to cement themselves in the European hunt this season.<\/p>\n

Rayo Vallecano were flirting with a top-six position earlier in the season, but since then have dropped off the pace, currently sitting in ninth position in the table.<\/p>\n

They will need to generate a massive turnaround in fortunes that has seen them win just one of their last five league games in all if they\u2019re going to have any chance of landing a European spot later this year.<\/p>\n

Villarreal meanwhile are right in the thick of it, unbeaten in five straight games now heading into Monday’s clash, winning four of them outright, and are in some absolutely terrific form overall right now, almost knocking Real Madrid out of the Copa del Rey ten days ago also.<\/p>\n

Rayo Vallecano haven\u2019t beaten Villarreal since all the way back to 2016, with the Yellow Submarine winning each of their last four head-to-head meetings against Rayo Vallecano.<\/p>\n

Rayo Vallecano Always Dangerous<\/h3>\n

While \u2018Los Franjirrojos\u2019 haven\u2019t always been La Liga\u2019s best team in terms of consistency, failing to put back-to-back wins together more than once all season.<\/p>\n

They have shown how dangerous they can be against the bigger teams in the league, taking points off Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona already this season.<\/p>\n

Their La Liga win\/draw rate of 67% as pre-match outsiders ranks as the second-best in the entire league this year, so Rayo Vallecano definitely shouldn\u2019t be underestimated ahead of Monday’s clash.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to look past another Villarreal victory in this one on Monday as they\u2019re just playing so well right now.<\/p>\n

While Rayo Vallecano always remain dangerous in big LaLiga matchups, their numbers this season just haven\u2019t been that good, especially on the road, with a full 1.59 xGD per game separating these two teams based on their respective home\/away forms this year.<\/p>\n
