Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Brooklyn Nets visit the City of Brotherly Love for an Eastern Conference clash with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

The 76ers completed a sweep of a five game road trip with a 129-127 shootout victory over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.The Nets won their second straight game 120-116 on Sunday over the Golden State Warriors.<\/p>\n

This will be the second of four games in a regular season series that Philadelphia currently leads on nothing with a 115-106 home victory on November 22nd. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 as the first game of an ESPN doubleheader.<\/p>\n

76ers Sweep Five Game Road Trip<\/h3>\n

The Philadelphia 76ers swept a five game West coast road trip with a win over Sacramento to up their season record to 30-16.<\/p>\n

The 76ers dominated down low as they outscored the Kings 70-56 in the paint with a 46-29 rebounding edge. Without Joel Embiid or James Harden in the picture, Tyrese Maxey took the reigns and was the games leading scorer with 32 points.<\/p>\n

Tobias Harris, Montrezl Harrel and Georges Niang each scored 17 points while Shake Milton chipped in with 15 points and 7 assists. Philadelphia sits at second place in the Eastern Conference, 3.5 games behind the first place Boston Celtics and a game better than Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

Defense is the Sixers calling card as they rank 4th in defensive rating and 3rd in defensive scoring with only 110.2 points allowed per game. Philly is an average scoring team at 15th with 114.1 points per game on 48.2% from the field.<\/p>\n

James Harden has been removed from Wednesdays injury report while Joel Embiid is questionable due to a foot injury. Furman Korkmaz has already been ruled out with a shoulder injury.<\/p>\n

Nets Need to Weather Storm Without Durant<\/h3>\n

Royce O’Neale hit a late three-pointer to help the Brooklyn Nets improve to 29-17 on the season with a victory in Golden State.<\/p>\n

The Nets shooting was the difference maker as they shot 43-79 for 54.4% compared to the Warriors who went 41-90 for only 45.6%. Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 38 points along with 9 assists and 7 rebounds.<\/p>\n

Nic Claxton recorded a 24 point, 15 rebound double-double while Ben Simmons chipped in with 7 points and 11 assists. Brooklyn now occupies the 4th spot in the Eastern Conference, 4.5 games behind the Boston Celtics.<\/p>\n

The Nets are middle of the pack in scoring at 16th with 113.7 on the leagues second best shooting percentage of 50.8%. They have been better defensively as the 8th rated defense while ranking 5th in scoring with only 110.7 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

Kevin Durant remains on track with his knee injury recovery plan and will be reevaluated in two weeks. The other good news is he is the only player listed on Brooklyns injury report.<\/p>\n

The Philadelphia 76ers are 5 point home favorites with a total set at 225. We have some players facing former teams after leaving on bad terms in Ben Simmons and James Harden.<\/p>\n

I’m looking at Harden from an assists perspective with a total set at 10.5. Harden has recorded 11+ assists in 6 of his last 7 games, falling short with 9 against a stout Clippers defense.<\/p>\n

The Nets allow the 10th most assists to opposing point guards and don’t have a big who can stop Embiid from easy buckets on looks from Harden. I could see Harden scoring his share of points but feel like he will get revenge being more of a facilitator tonight.<\/p>\n
