New York Rangers vs Florida Panthers Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Florida Panthers enter tonight\u2019s game against the New York Rangers coming off impressive back-to-back multi-goal wins against the Minnesota Wild and the Montreal Canadiens respectively over recent games, and will look to make it five wins from their last six in New York on Monday against the Rangers.<\/p>\n

The Rangers meanwhile have lost both of their last two home games against those same Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins also, and will look to snap that current home skid at MSG later tonight.<\/p>\n

The Rangers won the only meeting between the two teams this season via a 5-3 shootout down in Florida back at the start of the month.<\/p>\n

The high occurrence of goals in that game hasn\u2019t been an isolated incident between these two teams either, with the over in this series going a red-hot 21-4-1 in their last 26 meetings.<\/p>\n

Panthers Light In Nets<\/h3>\n

The Panthers are going through a pretty major injury crisis right now, none more so than in nets, with both Spencer Knight and Sergei Bobrovsky ruled out of Monday night\u2019s game through injuries.<\/p>\n

That puts third-stringer Alex Lyon back in goals tonight for only the third time this season but he\u2019s handled himself competently so far, putting up a .912 SV% along with a 2.55 GAA average over his first two games.<\/p>\n

Rangers Make Changes<\/h3>\n

The New York Rangers are allowing the 5th fewest goals per game this season to opponents at just 2.63 GAPG on average, but dig under the hood a little bit and you\u2019ll discover not everything is so rosy in their defensive makeup.<\/p>\n

The Rangers rank well outside of the top ten in both defensive xGA and high-danger shots allowed this season, with coach Gerard Gallant making a host of changes to the Rangers lineup ahead of Monday\u2019s clash against the Panthers also.<\/p>\n

New York Rangers vs Florida Panthers Prediction<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s hard to look past another over cashing here on Monday what with both of these teams’ series history over recent years, an unproven goalie in Alex Lyon, plus the fact the Rangers haven’t been as good defensively as advertised this year either.<\/p>\n

With Florida ranking #1 and #2 this season respectively on both scoring chances created and offensive xG, the Over 6.5 goals looks like the play in this one, and we\u2019re happy to side with another high-scoring game here on Monday.
