Dallas Mavericks vs Miami Heat Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Miami Heat wrap up a three game road trip in Dallas against the Mavericks on Friday night. The Mavericks lost their third straight game 130-122 at home against the Atlanta Hawks. The Heat won 124-98 on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

This is the first of two head-to-head meetings in the regular season, they meet again on April Fools Day in Miami. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST\/4:30 PST as the first game of an ESPN Friday night doubleheader.<\/p>\n

Mavericks Need To Stop The Bleeding<\/h3>\n

The Dallas Mavericks record dropped to 24-22 on the season after losing their 6th game in 8 tries against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. Atlanta had big edge from beyond the arc as they shot 13-26 for 50% while the Mavs went only 16-42 for 38.1%.<\/p>\n

Luka Doncic led all scorers with 30 points while pacing his team in assists with 8. Christian Wood added 22 points and 9 rebounds while Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in with 20 points and 7 assists.<\/p>\n

The Mavericks sit at 5th place in the Western Conference, 8.5 games behind the first place Denver Nuggets. The Dallas defense has taken a nosedive as they rank 25th in defensive rating and 12th in defensive scoring with 112.7 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

They also rank below average in scoring at 18th with only 112.9 points per game on 47.2% from the field. Christian Wood fractured his left thumb in the 2nd quarter against Atlanta and will be reevaluated in about a week. Tim Hardaway Jr is listed as probable with an ankle injury while Maxi Kleber remains out with a torn right hamstring.<\/p>\n

Heating Up<\/h3>\n

The Miami Heat improved to 25-21 on the season after winning their 9th game in their last 13 tries in New Orleans. Miami had a tremendous shooting advantage as they went 50-94 for 53.2% from the field while the Pelicans went only 37-80 for 46.3%.<\/p>\n

Bam Adebayo led all scorers with 26 points along with 8 rebounds. Max Strus recorded a 16 point, 10 assist double-double while Jimmy Butler chipped in with 18 points and 7 dimes. Miami currently sits at 6th place in the Eastern Conference, 8.5 games behind the first place Boston Celtics.<\/p>\n

The Heat are very limited offensively as they rank 2nd to last in scoring with only 109.2 points a game on 45.5% from the floor.<\/p>\n

Defense is their calling card as they rank 6th in defensive rating and 2nd in defensive scoring with only 108.6 points allowed per game. Duncan Robinson remains out as ge recovers from finger surgery and is the only player listed on the Miami injury report.<\/p>\n

This game is a virtual pick’em with the Miami Heat favored by 1 point and a total of 217.5. This is a rematch of the 2011 NBA Finals, back when Jason Kidd was the starting point guard for the Mavericks.<\/p>\n

Kidd is now the head coach in Dallas and is tasked with righting the ship after three straight losses. The Mavericks have struggled recently defending opposing bigs and with Christian Wood on the shelf, I’m looking to exploit that with Bam Adebayo.<\/p>\n

Over the last 15 games, Dallas has allowed the 6th most points and 4th most rebounds to opposing centers. Adebayo has recorded 35 & 33 Points + Rebounds in his last two games against the Mavericks. Bam has a PR line set at 31.5 and he has eclipsed that in 8 of his last 9 games.<\/p>\n

Adebayo won’t need to expel much energy on the defensive side of the court as Dwight Powell won’t be taking many shots or pulling him out of the paint. I’m loving Bams overs for points and rebounds individually so let’s combine them for today’s play.<\/p>\n
