Vancouver Canucks vs Colorado Avalanche Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

Two teams in some vastly differing degrees of form clash in Rogers Arena on Friday as the red-hot Colorado Avalanche come to town to take on the Vancouver Canucks.<\/p>\n

Colorado comes into this game coming off the back of three straight wins, blowing out the Senators, Red Wings, and Flames respectively by a combined 17-4 goal margin across those three starts.<\/p>\n

The Vancouver Canucks meanwhile have lost eight of their last ten games overall as Tampa Bay blew them out on home ice on Wednesday night to further add to their woes.<\/p>\n

This will be the third and final meeting between the two teams this season after Vancouver won both of the opening two games against Colorado both home and away.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s been the norm in this series over recent seasons as well, with Vancouver winning 35 of the last 51 series meetings against the Avalanche overall, and 15 of the last 21 in this venue also.<\/p>\n

Defense Finally Wakes Up For Avalanche<\/h3>\n

While the Avalanche may have been in some fine form over the last week or so, prior to that, Colorado had lost seven of their previous eight matchups and their defense was shipping an average of 4.57 goals per game across those seven losses as well.<\/p>\n

The switch to Pavel Francouz in nets definitely helped this team as he ranks top 20 in the league this season on GSAA average and posted his first shutout of the season against the Ottawa Senators last week also in a 7-0 rout.<\/p>\n

Vancouver Looks To Break Out Of Recent Slump<\/h3>\n

Returning home in a highly anticipated matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday and going down 4-0 within the first 15 minutes shows you exactly how much of a slump the Canucks are in right now.<\/p>\n

They barely mustered a comeback in that game, relying off two power-play goals in the third period to finally put some respectability on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

However, when Vancouver have gotten into position this season they\u2019ve been dangerous, ranking second in the league overall behind only the Seattle Kraken in terms of high-danger conversion rate this year at 12.4% on average.<\/p>\n

Vancouver Canucks vs Colorado Avalanche Prediction<\/h2>\n

Despite the strong head-to-head bias for the Vancouver Canucks in this series over the past few seasons, the Canucks are in complete slump mode right now.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s far from an ideal situation in which to be in when taking on a team that has averaged 5.67 goals per game across their last three starts like Colorado have.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re happy to take the hotter team in the much better form in this one and back the Colorado Avalanche to win on the road in regulation on Friday against the Vancouver Canucks.<\/p>\n
