Mallorca vs Celta Vigo Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

Relegation battling Celta Vigo will be hoping they can engineer a positive result on Friday against Mallorca as just a single point now separates them from the drop zone in Spanish LaLiga this season.<\/p>\n

The good news for Celta Vigo however is that only 5 points separate them from top half-placed Mallorca also, so a good result in this one will see them climb the table rapidly with not much separating all of the mid-table sides in the league.<\/p>\n

Mallorca have just one win in LaLiga since the restart and a poor 1-0 loss away to Osasuna over the weekend will have done little to restore confidence either.<\/p>\n

Celta Vigo have failed to beat Mallorca across any of their last five trips here, with the islanders winning three of those five matchups outright.<\/p>\n

Defense Has Been A Major Issue For Celta Vigo This Season<\/h3>\n

While the \u2018Sky Blues\u2019 are unbeaten in their last four league games overall, they\u2019ve failed to turn decent performances into positive results largely due to a defense that has kept just one clean sheet over their last three league games in all, that coming against bottom-of-the-table Elche.<\/p>\n

Celta Vigo have given up 15 goals across their eight league road games this season, the third highest mark in the league, and haven\u2019t shut out Mallorca in this venue in a win since 2003.<\/p>\n

Mallorca Shutting Opponents Down<\/h3>\n

Two of the most dominating home fortresses in all of European football have continued to display their advantages this season also, with both Athletico Bilbao and Mallorca ranking #1 and #2 respectively in defensive xGA at home since October 1st in LaLiga.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s translated into results for \u2018Los Pirates\u2019 as well, as they\u2019ve shut out each of their last two opponents at home, including Atletico Madrid, in what were two impressive wins for the club.<\/p>\n

Mallorca vs Celta Vigo Prediction<\/h2>\n

There\u2019s no question Mallorca\u2019s recent form has been patchy with just one win from their last three league games overall.<\/p>\n

However, their defensive record has been exceptional this season and should present a real issue for a Celta Vigo side that has netted just five goals away from home all season, the second-fewest road goal tally in the league.<\/p>\n
