Memphis Grizzlies vs Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Cleveland Cavaliers travel to Memphis for an inter conference showdown with the Grizzlies on Wednesday night. The Grizzlies blew out the Phoenix Suns 136-106 for their 10th straight win on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

The Cavaliers are coming off a 113-103 victory at home over the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night. This is the first of two regular season meetings between these teams who meet again on February 2nd in Cleveland. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM EST\/5:00 PST from FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN.<\/p>\n

Grizzlies Firing On All Cylinders<\/h3>\n

The Memphis Grizzlies improved to a staggering 30-13 on the season after beating Phoenix by 30 points on Monday evening. Memphis had a tremendous advantage in rebounding at 51-37 and points in the paint at 66-54. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ja Morant led all scorers with 29 points along with 7 assists. Desmond Bane was right behind him with 28 points and 6 assists while Jaren Jackson Jr chipped in with 18 points and 8 rebounds. <\/span><\/p>\n

Memphis is scoring at an elite level as they rank 4th in scoring with 117.6 points a game on 47.3% from the field. They are also elite defensively where they rank #1 in defensive rating and 8th in defensive scoring with only 111.6 points allowed per game. <\/span><\/p>\n

On top of that, the Grizzlies are the top rebounding team in the NBA with an average of 49.2 boards per game. The Grizz have a completely clean injury report, a breath of fresh air nowadays. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cavaliers Need a Road Win<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Cleveland Cavaliers upped their record to 28-17 this season as they beat the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night. The Cavs dominated down low where they won the rebounding battle 43-28 while outscoring the Pelicans 52-40 in the paint.<\/p>\n

Darius Garland led all scorers with 30 points along with 11 assists and 6 rebounds. Jarrett Allen recorded a 24 point, 11 rebound double-double while Donovan Mitchell only played 22 minutes as he left the game with a groin strain.<\/p>\n

Defense is the Cavaliers calling card as they rank #2 in efficiency and #1 in scoring with only 106.9 points allowed per game. They have struggled offensively where they sit at 26th with only 111.5 points per game on 48.2% from the floor.<\/p>\n

Mitchell is listed as doubtful for tonight’s contest with the groin strain while Dylan Windler and Dean Wade remain out.<\/p>\n

The Memphis Grizzlies are favored by 7.5 points with a total set at 228. Both teams are contenders in their respective conferences but the Grizzlies are at full strength while Cleveland will most likely be playing without their superstar as Donovan Mitchell deals with an injury.<\/p>\n

Both have strong defensive units as they rank #1 & #2 in defensive rating. However, Memphis has allowed the 4th most rebounds and 2nd most assists to opposing power fowards over their last 15 games.<\/p>\n

Evan Mobley has averaged 11.5 Rebounds + Assists on the season while going over that total in 4 of his last 8 games and landing on 8 or 9 in the games he fell short. Without Mitchell on the court, Mobley has an average 13 RA while going over this number in 4 of 5 games.<\/p>\n

Recently power fowards like Pablo Banchero (12), Kelly Olynyk (13) and Dario Saric (12) have all cleared this rebounds + assists total. Jaren Jackson Jr is an elite defender so Mobley will be utilized more as a facilitator than a scorer.<\/p>\n
