This week’s O\/U line is roughly the same as last week’s. Yet, the Eagles are considerably stingier than the Vikings on defense. They allowed 20 ppg during the season, compared to Minnesota’s 25.<\/p>\n

The Eagles also allowed 301 ypg (2nd in NFL) and the Vikes allowed 388.7. In other words, the Giants are facing a vastly superior defense than the one they squeaked by less than a week ago.<\/p>\n
The Giants game-plan was to attack the Vikings secondary early and often. This week, however, they’re far more likely to try and run first.<\/p>\n

With the Giants run-first approach, that’ll keep the clock moving. Not only do the Giants want to keep the Eagles offense off the field but they’re also going to want to slow down the aggressive Philly pass rush.<\/p>\n
The last four Eagles playoff games have all stayed below the total. Those games had combined scores of 31, 34, 26 and 46. Don’t be surprised when this one also proves lower-scoring than many will be expecting.<\/p>\n
