Juventus vs Monza Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

It only took 14 minutes to snap Juventus\u2019 ridiculous run of eight-straight clean sheet wins as Napoli thrashed Juve 5-1 on Friday.<\/p>\n

That, coupled with AC Milan\u2019s draw vs Lecce moves Gli Azzurri nine pints clear atop the Serie A table, but at least that run from The Old Lady has put them comfortably back in the Top-4.<\/p>\n

While this is a Cup match, I want to mention the results of that run for Juve as they faced five teams with negative xG and actual goal differentials as only Udinese, Lazio and Inter would qualify as quality opponents.<\/p>\n

Monza of course would fall right into the definition of a weak opponent although they are on a four-game unbeaten run. But against quality opposition on the road this season they are 0-4 vs Napoli, Roma, AC Milan and Lazio and were outscored by a ridiculous 1-12 margin, averaging just 0.65 xG per match.<\/p>\n

Juventus vs Monza Lineup Speculation<\/h3>\n

Lineups are everything when we are talking about these Cup matches, especially midweek and sandwiched between two tough opponents like Napoli and Atalanta.<\/p>\n

So, without having that information available to us yet, I\u2019ll make this recommendation based on the assumption that Juventus will have a mostly full-strength squad. If so, I fully expect Juventus to bounce back here defensively after that embarrassing loss to Napoli.<\/p>\n

Juventus has kept seven clean sheets in nine home matches this season allowing just 0.79 xG per match while Monza has been blanked in four of nine away matches, averaging just 1.00 xG.<\/p>\n

Monza won 1-0 in their first Serie A meeting back in September, and although their upcoming Serie A matchup scheduled in just two weeks\u2019 time would probably be a better revenge spot, this serves as a good opportunity as the Coppa Italia looks like Allegri\u2019s best chance at hardware this season.<\/p>\n
