San Antonio Spurs vs Brooklyn Nets Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Brooklyn Nets kick off a five game road trip in San Antonio against the Spurs on Tuesday evening. The Spurs are coming off their 5th straight loss 132-119 at home against the Sacramento Kings. The Nets lost their second straight game 112-102 at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder.<\/p>\n

This will be the second and final meeting of the regular season series between these teams as Brooklyn won 139-103 at home on January 2nd. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM EST\/5:00 PST from the AT&T Center.<\/p>\n

Nets Need To Bounce Back<\/h3>\n

The Brooklyn Nets record dipped to 27-15 on the season after losing their third game in five tries at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder.<\/p>\n

The Thunder were much more accurate from long distance as they went 12-31 38.7% compared to 12-41 29.3%. Seth Curry led the team in scoring with 23 points on 9-15 from the field.<\/p>\n

Nic Claxton recorded a 17 point, 13 rebound double-double as did Royce O’Neale with 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Nets are middle of pack in scoring with 113.9 points per game on a league high 50.8% from the floor.<\/p>\n

Defense is their calling card as they rank 9th in defensive rating and 5th in defensive scoring with 110.6 points allowed per game. Kevin Durant is the only player mentioned on the injury report as he remains out with an MCL sprain.<\/p>\n

Spurs Continue To Free Fall<\/h3>\n

The San Antonio Spurs fell to 13-31 on the season after losing their 8th game in 9 tries against the Kings. Sacramento outshot San Antonio 14-30 46.7% compared to 10-26 38.5% from beyond the arc.<\/p>\n

Jakob Poeltl led the team in scoring with 23 points along with 7 rebounds. Keldon Johnson added 20 points and 7 rebounds while Tre Jones chipped in with 16 points and 8 assists.<\/p>\n

The Spurs sit at 19th with an average of only 112.6 points per game on 47.3% from the field. San Antonio has the leagues worst defense as they sit at dead last in defensive rating and scoring with an average of 121.7 points allowed per game.<\/p>\n

The Spurs have allowed 130+ points in three straight games. Devin Vassell remains out with a knee injury while Doug McDermott is questionable with a back injury.<\/p>\n

The Brooklyn Nets enter this game as 5.5 point favorites with a total of 232. Both sides look to snap losing streaks as the Nets play without their top player and the Spurs begin their tank for Wembanyama sweepstakes.<\/p>\n

San Antonio hasn’t been able to stop anyone as they now rank dead last in defensive rating and scoring after allowing 130+ points in three straight games. Brooklyn smoked the Spurs by 36 points last month in a game where Kyrie Irving scored 27 points on an impressive 11-14 from the floor.<\/p>\n

Tre Jones will be asked to guard Irving and he has a tremendous size disadvantage, so Irving should thrive once again.<\/p>\n

The Nets own the leagues 2nd best defensive ranking over the last 10 days and they need a win here themselves. This is a perfect bounce back spot for Brooklyn.<\/p>\n
