Utah Jazz vs Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Cleveland Cavaliers travel to Utah for an interconference clash with the Jazz on Tuesday. The Jazz lost their second straight 123-118 in Memphis against the Grizzlies. The Cavaliers are coming off a 112-98 road victory over the Phoenix Suns.<\/p>\n

This will be the second and final meeting between these teams as the Cavs prevailed 122-99 over Utah on December 19th in Cleveland. Tip-off is slated for 9:00 PM EST\/6:00 PST from Vivint Smart Home Arena.<\/p>\n

Spida Returns Home<\/h3>\n

Donovan “Spida” Mitchell returns to Utah for the first time since playing the first six seasons of his career as the Jazz superstar player. The Cleveland Cavaliers improved to 26-15 on the season after beating the Suns on the road on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Cavs controlled the paint where they outscored Phoenix 52-38. Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland both led the team in scoring with 22 points each. Jarrett Allen recorded a 13 point, 12 rebound double-double while Evan Mobley chipped in with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.<\/p>\n

Cleveland has struggled offensively as a team on the season with 111.5 points per game on 48.2% from the field. Defense has been their calling card as they rank #1 in both defensive rating and scoring with only 106.6 points allowed per game. The Cavaliers are sporting a clean injury report, a breath of fresh air nowadays.<\/p>\n

Jazz Need To Stop The Skid<\/h3>\n

The Utah Jazz fell to 20-23 on the season after losing in Memphis on Sunday. The Grizzlies had a tremendous advantage in three-point shooting where they went 15-38 for 39.5% while Utah went only 10-32 for 31.3%.<\/p>\n

Lauri Markkanen led the team in scoring with 21 points along with 8 rebounds. Kelly Olynyk added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists while Jordan Clarkson chipped in with 17 points. The Jazz have now lost 9 of their last 12 games while only beating bottom feeders like Houston, Washington and Detroit. The Jazz have been an outstanding scoring team as they sit 3rd with 117.6 points per game.<\/p>\n

Defense has been a completely different story as they rank 27th in efficiency and 24th in scoring with 116.9 points allowed per game. Kelly Olynyk, Colin Sexton and Talen Horton-Tucker have all already been ruled out for this contest.<\/p>\n

Utah Jazz vs Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction<\/h2>\n

The Cleveland Cavaliers enter this contest as 2.5 road favorites with a total set at 226.5. These are two teams heading in completely opposite directions as the Cavaliers should be a contender in the Eastern Conference playoffs while the Jazz are trending towards being on the outside looking in.<\/p>\n

Mitchell is going to be highly motivated to show this crowd what they are missing out on. Cleveland already steamrolled the Jazz 122-99 and while both teams prefer playing at home, I don’t see venue making that much of a difference.<\/p>\n

On top of that the Jazz are missing Olynyk & Sexton and they already give up the most points in the paint. I’m fully expecting Utahs struggles to continue to give Cleveland an easy cover with a point spread of only 2.5.<\/p>\n
