Georgia vs TCU Total Points Analysis<\/h2>\n

We\u2019re going to take a look at the National Championship game from a totals perspective with it now sitting at 62.5 after opening up at 64. <\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard not to consider taking over this total with TCU scoring 51 in their win against Michigan and Georgia scoring 42 in their win over Ohio State.<\/strong> Is there an argument to be made to take the under? Let\u2019s dive in!<\/span><\/p>\n

TCU Needs Miller and Defense to Show Up<\/span><\/h3>\n

On the season TCU has scored 41 ppg but they\u2019ve actually failed to hit this mark in four of their past six games.<\/p>\n

The status of running back Keandre Miller will be key into this total because if he plays, the Horned Frogs will likely have more of a rushing attack as Miller has notched 15 carries or more in four of his past five games not including their previous game against Michigan where he was injured in the first half after eight carries for 57 yards.<\/p>\n

More rushing equates to a faster clock, and if successful, keeps Georgia\u2019s offense off the field. Although TCU allowed 45 points to Michigan, their defense actually put up numbers including four sacks, 13 pass tackles for loss and three turnovers. Don\u2019t be surprised if this TCU defense makes some big plays against Georgia.<\/p>\n

Where Did Georgia’s Defense Go?<\/h3>\n

The Bulldogs can play at any type of pace during a game and they\u2019ve proved it throughout the season whether it was a grind-it-out 16-6 win against Kentucky or a shoot out 42-41 win against Ohio State last week.<\/p>\n

Georgia knows how dangerous this TCU team is and how they can put up points in bunches. This Bulldogs defense underperformed against the Buckeyes and know they\u2019ll need to improve to beat TCU.<\/p>\n

Look for this Georgia defense to come out poised as they forced no turnovers last weekend but did have four sacks. Obviously the over hit in Georgia\u2019s game vs Ohio State which snapped a 5-0 under run for Georgia in post season games.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs started their season with five straight under but the over has occurred in four of their past five games. Consequently for TCU the over hit in three of their first four games but the under has hit in four of their past six games.<\/p>\n

Georgia vs TCU Totals Over\/Under Prediction<\/h2>\n

Although there are cases to be made for the under, the over is just too good to pass up here with both offense playing the best they have all season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As far as the National Championship game is concerned, the over hit in six straight before last season where Alabama and Georgia put up 51 points with the total listed at 53. The total does seem to be dropping a little, but regardless over 62.5 looks to be the play here.<\/strong><\/p>\n
