Indiana Pacers vs Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Analysis<\/h2>\n

The Cleveland Cavaliers visit Bankers Life Fieldhouse for an Eastern Conference tilt with the Indiana Pacers on Thursday evening. The Pacers outscored the Atlanta Hawks 129-114 at home on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

The Cavs lost their second straight game 125-117 at home against the Brooklyn Nets. This is the second of four regular season meetings, Cleveland prevailed 118-112 at home on December 16th. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST\/4:00 PST from Indianapolis, Indiana.<\/p>\n

Cavaliers Hit The Road<\/h3>\n

The Cleveland Cavaliers record dipped to 22-13 on the season finishing a six game homestand 4-2 with a loss to the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets outshot Cleveland 57.3% to 47.6% from the field and 60% to 36.1% from beyond the arc.<\/p>\n

Darius Garland led all scorers with 46 points along with 8 assists while hitting 13 of 15 free throws. Jarrett Allen recorded a 10 point, 11 rebound double-double while Donovan Mitchell scored 15 points on a horrendous 5-16 from the floor.<\/p>\n

Defense is definitely the Cavs calling card as they rank #1 in scoring with only 105.5 points allowed per game. Offense has been a completely different story as they rank 26th with only 111.1 points per game. Cedi Osman is listed as questionable for this contest due to lower back soreness.<\/p>\n

Pacing Themselves<\/h3>\n

The Indiana Pacers moved a game past .500 at 18-17 after beating the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday. The Pacers dominated the glass with a 49-42 rebounding advantage while outscoring the Hawks 60-46 in the paint.<\/p>\n

Buddy Hield led all scorers with 28 points while adding 9 rebounds and shooting 6-7 from long distance. Tyrese Haliburton added 23 points while leading his team in assists with seven.<\/p>\n

Myles Turner and Benedict Mathurin both chipped in with 18 points. Indiana ranks slightly above average in scoring with 114.4 points a game on 45.8% from the field.<\/p>\n

They allow 115.1 points per game on 46.5% shooting, ranking 20th in the NBA. Tyrese Haliburton is listed as questionable for this contest with a right knee bruise and is the only Pacers currently listed on the injury report.<\/p>\n

The Cleveland Cavaliers enter this contest as 5 point road favorites with a total of 223. This is becoming a rivalry between two Central Division foes who are only separated by four games in the standings.<\/p>\n

The Cavs prevailed in a six point home victory at home but don’t perform quite as well on the road. Donovan Mitchell scored 41 points in that game while going 14-24 from the field, 8-15 from three-point land and 5-5 from the charity stripe.<\/p>\n

Mitchell has a point total set at 27.5 and he has eclipsed that in 20 of 31 games for a 65% success rate. The Pacers allow the 4th most points to opposing point guards and rank 18th in defensive efficiency.<\/p>\n

Buddy Hield and Aaron Nembhard figure to guard Mitchell and both rank poorly defensively. The Cavs play better at home but “Spida” prefers the road as he averages 29.4 points compared to 27.7 at home. Mitchell has been a bit off recently so I will gladly back him in a get right spot against a vulnerable opponent.<\/p>\n
