Dallas Mavericks vs New York Knicks Betting Analysis<\/h3>\n

The New York Knicks begin a three game road trip at the American Airlines Center on Tuesday night against the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks are coming off a 124-115 victory at home against the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n

The Knicks were also in holiday action as they lost 119-112 against the Philadelphia 76ers. It will be New Yorks only chance to avenge a 121-100 home loss against Dallas on December 3rd. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 PM EST\/5:30 PST on NBATV.<\/p>\n

Mavericks Make It Three In A Row<\/h3>\n

The Dallas Mavericks improved to 18-16 on the season after winning their third straight game 124-115 on Christmas Day over the Los Angeles Lakers. Luka Doncic led the way with a team leading 32 points, 9 assists and 9 rebounds.<\/p>\n

Christian Wood was right behind him with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Tim Hardaway Jr also scored 26 points while going 6-14 from beyond the arc. The Mavs doubled the Lakers three-point production, beating them 18-9 from long distance.<\/p>\n

Dallas is well below average in scoring with 111.4 points a game, ranking them 21st in the league. Defense is the Dallas calling card as they rank 5th with only 109.5 points allowed per game. Josh Green and Dorian Finney-Smith while Kemba Walker is questionable with a knee injury.<\/p>\n

Knicks Need To Snap Three Game Skid<\/h3>\n

The New York Knicks record dropped to 18-16 on the season after losing their third straight game 119-112 on Christmas Day against the Philadelphia 76ers. Julius Randle led all scorers with 35 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 assists.<\/p>\n

Three Knicks has double-doubles: Mitchell Robinson 10 points and 16 rebounds, Jalen Brunson 23 points and 11 assists and RJ Barrett 17 points and 10 rebounds. New York lost the game despite dominating the boards with a 46-32 advantage.<\/p>\n

The Knicks defense ranks slightly above average in scoring at 12th with 112.1 points allowed per game. The same goes for their offensive attack as they sit at 13th with 114.4 points a game on 45.9% from the floor.<\/p>\n

Obi Toppin has already been ruled out for this contest with a leg injury while Jalen Brunson is questionable with a knee injury.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Mavericks are favored by 4.5 points with a total of 219. We have two teams literally heading in completely opposite directions as the Mavs have won three straight while the Knicks have dropped three in a row.<\/p>\n

These are two of the slowest teams in the NBA in terms of pace. The Mavericks have went under the total in four straight games and the Knicks should be looking to ratchet up their defense.<\/p>\n

Dallas held New York to 100 points in their prior meeting this season. Keep an eye on the injury report because if Jalen Brunson is out the Knicks will struggle to score.<\/p>\n

Regardless I like the Mavs defense to keep a lid on them at home. The Knicks team total is set at 107.5 and I’m going under in this contest.<\/p>\n
